July 16 Adoration—Summer Break There will be no Tuesday evening Adoration during July and August. Adoration will resume in September 2017. ATTENTION PSR PARENTS: New PSR Policy — Effective 5/2/2017 Students enrolling in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton PSR program for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation classes must be registered members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and regularly attending Holy Mass here. Students must have been registered in PSR the prior year (their 1st grade and 7th grade year). They must attend at least 3/4’s of the classes both in 1st and 2nd grade and 7th and 8th grade to receive those Sacraments. Parents must attend the parent meeting for those children preparing for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. All children 1st –12th grade should be attending PSR Catholic Religious Education Classes. All students attending PSR classes and leaving without attending Holy Mass is unacceptable. Don’t take a Vacation from Church If you have access to the internet look on www.masstimes.org for Mass schedules of all Catholic Churches in the USA! Altar Flowers The flowers on our altar this week are graciously given by Carol Gay and Family in loving memory of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, James Gay. YOUTH HAPPENINGS July 13-14 High School Overnight Lock-in High School Overnight Lock-in at the Springville Retreat House on Thursday, July 13-Friday, July 14...Sign up by Saturday, July 8 by texting Laura at 205-482-7414. For those youth and parents who worked at the Cajun Fundraiser, your trip will be paid for with funds raised at the event! For all others, the cost will be $15 to attend. We are limited to 30 attending (including adult chaperones that are needed), so sign up soon so you don't miss out on the fun! All will be asked to bring a drink and snack to share, and will need a Diocese travel form completed! Confirmation Retreat: August 25—- 27, 2017 Save the date...Confirmation Retreat planned for Friday, August 25-Sunday, August 27 at Springville Retreat Center! All rising 8th graders planning to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the 2017-2018 school year are required to attend. We are also in need of our wonderful youth and adult leaders, so please let us know if you can help!
