SPIN Retreat For Married Couples Are you interested in growing closer to God and to each other as a married couple? Dr. John and Mary Jane Gresham will be leading a Spiritual Intimacy (SPIN) Marriage Retreat on August 12 through August 13. The retreat will teach, demonstrate, and give you opportunities to practice new ways to pray together as a couple. The 25 hour retreat begins Friday evening with registration at 6:30 PM and concludes with anticipatory Saturday mass at 7:30 PM. The retreat, held at Todd Hall Retreat Center in Columbia, Illinois, is limited to 10 couples. See: genesis-ministry.org to register.

Update On SAJE Quilts Your generosity enabled us to raise over $1,200 on the twin size quilt raffle this spring. The proceeds have gone toward the services of our nurse, Deb Goldfeder. The lucky winner was Don Dippel, a longtime member of Advent Episcopal. Rumor has it that Don was one of the first people to buy a ticket, and yet it managed to work its way to the top. Congratulations, Don, and thank you for participating. The quilters are almost finished with their second quilt. This time it is a dramatic queen size. We will begin our raffle on this quilt at the Route 66 Car Cruise on August 13th. You may recall that SAJE was given a $2,000 grant by the Crestwood/Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce two years ago from the proceeds of the Car Cruise that year. Kill two birds with one stone. Have fun at the car cruise events and get your raffle tickets EARLY. Apparently that’s the way to get a winning ticket. Thank you for your support of SAJE. See you at a SAJE event. There are many to choose from.
