Pastor’s

Message 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

“The mind of a sage appreciates proverbs, and an attentive ear is the joy of the wise.” (Sir 3:28)

Many of us appreciate proverbs and

the company of joyful, wise people. Unfortunately, we do not always have them when we need them most!

In today’s gospel, Jesus has kind words

to live by when he talks about the rightful place for every host and guest in a wedding banquet.

At Holy Mass, we seem to have the

rightful place, each in their pew, ministry, and company. The Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist lift us into the realm of the ‘highest heavens’ with Spirit-filled prayers and songs, ending with a ‘commissioning’ or a sending out for every active participant.

We thank our liturgical ministers for

doing an impressive job in keeping our masses welcoming and inspiring.

Besides our liturgical ministries, there

are other parish ministries in need of assistance. We are finalizing the organizational chart of all the various parish ministries, and when completed and published, I encourage everyone to find a ministry of their interest and volunteer.

Finally, congratulations to the newly

installed Grand Knight, Michael Rastovski and all officers of the Knight of Columbus. Also, our gratitude to Carmen and Angel Garcia for regularly minding the parish rectory - house cleaning, mowing, etc... and to Jose and Eddie Velasquez for the latest renovation to a rectory room that was just flooded due to plumbing issues. May the Lord reward you for all the hard work! “…when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you.” (Lk 14:13)

call the qualified, but He qualifies the call.” In this case, God has other plans for me, which I am on the journey of accepting and moving onward with. In reflection of this whole experience, I think to the 21st Chapter of John, where the disciples after fishing all night and catching nothing, the Lord tells them to cast their net to the right side, where they catch many fish. It is the Lord who calls and who will say where to throw the net and where it will be fruitful. This is something I keep turning to for myself and hope you may find some benefit in as well. Know that your prayers have always been a strength and an encouragement, please continue to pray that I will follow the Lord, wherever He leads. Blessings,

James Lorini

Dear parishioners of St. Faustina, I am writing you with news that it has been decided that the Diocesan Priesthood is not my calling and that a better fit for me would be to discern a more contemplative life. I am deeply sorry for this outcome. Currently, I will be headed to Kentucky to view Gethsemane Monastery, I will be there for a few days to begin this discernment process, after which I will be returning to Orlando to continue to discern God’s Will. When this journey began, I always felt unfit to be a Priest, but as a few parishioners of St. Faustina would say to me, “God does not

Texas Roadhouse Gift Cards

We still have Texas Roadhouse Gift Cards we ordered last spring and need to sell. The cards are valid at any Texas Roadhouse in the United States and for every card we sell, 20% goes to our Building Fund. There are no plans to order more gift cards so when these are gone...they are gone! You can pur-chase the gift cards after the week-end Masses in the gift shop or dur-ing the week in the Parish Office.

DINE 2 DONATE

Every TUESDAY, one of these local restaurants sup-ports our BUILDING FUND by donating proceeds from parishioners who patronize their establishment.
