The Pastor’s Corner

It’s been sometime since I’ve written this column.

It’s not been for lack of desire, but really more because of oth-

er commitments that have taken precedence over the last few

months. That being said, I am back.

Over the last few months, we have had many successful ven-

tures in both parishes. Holy Family has transitioned into its

temporary worship space at the Union Church, and has active-

ly begun preparing for the new building. The Moosehead Lake

Council of the Knights of Columbus has been active in col-

lecting monies for the Moosehead Lake Community Food

Cupboard. The council also co-sponsored a Baked Fish Din-

ner with the Cecile R. Cole Post of the American Legion. It

was a successful venture.

Much activity has taken place at St. Anthony as well. The Se-

bastian Rasle Council of the Knights of Columbus put on a

very successful crepe breakfast on Maine Maple Sunday. Over

100 people were served! The Knights also coordinated an

Easter Egg hunt at St. Anthony on April 15. There were thirty

children attendance. The hunt was a great success!

The Faith Formation programs in each parish are continuing

to grow. Holy Family has 1 young child in the K through Five

program, while St. Anthony has 12. Holy Family also has six

young people in the High School Faith Formation program. I

am working with Diocesan Director of Youth ministry, the

Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and other mem-

bers of the parish to rebuild Youth Ministry at St. Anthony.

Please continue to pray for our young people in both parishes.

As always, I am happy to be here and happy to be your pastor!

Peace!

Fr. Aaron
