Sixth Grade Students Present Shadow Stations of the Cross

Every year during Lent, the 6th grade students prepare a live presentation of the Stations of the Cross done in shadows. The students use lighting, sound effects, and narration to cast a new light on the Catholic tradition that commemo-

rates Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. For each station, the students recreate and medi-tate on a specific event from Christ's last day. Students, parents, and friends look forward to this presentation each year.

Ride on the Spanish School Bus! SFA Spanish teachers, Mrs. Crone and Mrs. LeBlanc developed a collaborative Spanish lesson with 6th grade students help-ing the kindergarteners ex-plore a new app on their iPads, The Spanish School Bus. As it turns out, the Kindergarten students taught the 6th grad-ers a thing or two!! Way to go, Spanish amigos!

It was a great day to fly a kite!

The sun was shining and a steady breeze was blowing…a perfect day for the 8th grade members of the National Junior Honor Society to help their 4K friends fly kites. The big kids had just as much fun as the little ones did! Our school is blessed with many traditions such as this that create bonds of friendship and a strong sense of community.

The Holy Thursday collection will benefit the St. Francis council of St. Vincent de Paul.

The Good Friday Collection is for the Holy Land.
