View from Fr. Larry Pichard, Pastor

Easter Time is Sacraments time, and the grace of several sacraments is flowing abundantly! At the Easter Vigil on April 4, 10 adults and 2 young people were baptized. Eight adults, formerly baptized in Protestant churches, made a Profession of Faith and were received into full Communion with the Catholic Church. Thirty-five adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Thirty-six adults made their First Communion.

Yesterday, April 26, about 300 eighth grade students received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Next Saturday, May 2 about 70 will be confirmed at the special 1:30 pm Mass.

Next Saturday about 100 children will make their First Communion in Spanish.

Our Staff hopes that we will renew the grace in our hearts as we make a retreat to be directed by Msgr. Don Fischer on Wednesday. We will be out of the office from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm. Please pray for us. An office receptionist will be available 9 a.m.–12 noon and 1 p.m. until 5pm.

On Saturday we will sponsor a Welcome Night for all new parishioners. If you joined our parish anytime since last summer and haven’t attended a Welcome Night, please join us. We start right after the 5:00 pm Mass concludes on Saturday in the Great Hall of the Parish Center. We present in power point format the history of our parish and a description of many of our ministries and organizations. Members of our Staff introduce themselves to you. Then we do a detailed tour of our new Church and Chapel, followed by refreshments and fellowship during which you can meet other new members, talk personally to our Staff and visit with our priests. Please see detailed information later in the bulletin and be sure to RSVP.
