Catholic Kids for a Cause On March 17, 2018, Catholic Kids for a Cause from
Saint John the Baptist, will hold a benefit for a member of
our parish family- the Gess Family in the SJB gym from
8a-noon.
Baby Zayden Gess was born on September 3, 2017, at 32
weeks via an emergency C-section, 4 lbs 8 oz., blue and
not breathing. He was immediately taken to the NICU.
Before he was born the family knew that he had Down
syndrome, heart conditions, and an enlarged liver. After
many surgeries, chemotherapy treatments, countless trips
back and forth to the hospital in Madison, Zayden still
continues to fight to stay alive.
Along with Zayden, the Gess family has two other
children; Kiley is a kindergartner at SJB & Savannah a
sophomore in high school. Savannah is planning on a
mission trip in the summer of 2018.
The funds received from this event will be presented to
the Gess family, helping them with the cost of the medical
bills, travel and Savannah’s mission trip!
Please attend the heart-warming event and help show
support for our parish community member in need. In
addition, we are looking for silent auction donations,
baked goods donations and cakes for a cake walk.
Please contact Melissa Gotto with any questions or
donations at 920-728-6264. Anyone interested in
donating baked goods or cakes may drop off donations
on 3/16/18 from 5p-7p in the school kitchen and/
or 3/17/18 from 7a-8a. Any questions can be directed to
Ashley Weisensel at 920-650-2692.
