Join the St. Francis Altar Society today! ST. FRANCIS of ASSISI ALTAR SOCIETY… JOIN US IN SERVICE! There is much to do and we are seeking new members to join us (and previous members to rejoin us) in our good works! We know with everyone’s busy schedules you can’t always be active, but we can definitely use your support. The Altar Society is a worthwhile ministry. Funds generated through membership dues and fund-raisers are used for altar needs: the supplying of altar bread and wine, candles, vessels and vestments for priest, deacons, and altar servers. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION We are now enrolling students for 2019-2020 Religious Education classes. You may pick up your registration form at the office, or come to our RE Registration Event in the San Damiano Center on Sunday, August 25, after each Mass. We are always looking for people to share their love of Christ and knowledge of the Catholic faith with our youth. Our Religious Education Department is in need of backup teachers and adult teacher aids for this school year. Please consider volunteering a little bit of your time on Wednesday nights to take part in your church community and help our children grow in their Catholic faith. We welcome Spanish speaking teachers, as well, as we have many children who are bilingual and who might have a deeper understanding if taught in their primary language. PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN (PGC) classes are being offered HERE at St. Francis on Monday, September 9 (in Spanish), or Monday, September 16 (in English) from 6-9 p.m. PGC classes and background checks are required for any adult who will spend time with the youth, including parents who are in the vicinity of the classrooms/SD Center during RE/Keysis.
