THE HOLY FATHER’S PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR FEBRUARY: Listen to the Migrants’ Cries: We pray that the cries of our migrant brothers and sisters, victims of criminal trafficking, may be heard and considered. THE WEDNESDAY WORD: As a part of the “Year of the Word” you are encouraged to use the Wednesday Word each week to prepare to hear the Gospel Sunday by Sunday. For a long time a version for family prayers has been available at all Sunday Masses. Now for Sunday Masses with a hymn sheet, take this home and use the Wednesday Word on the back of the hymn sheet. As the name suggests, it is for use in the middle of the week to prepare to hear the Gospel on the next Sunday. This may give you ideas for the Intentions you might offer at your Sunday Mass also. Also visit www.wednesdayword.org.

********************************************************************** OUR PARISH, OUR NEEDS, OUR RESPONSIBILITY –

PLANNED GIVING APPEAL: PROMISE CARDS

‘Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ – 2 Corinthians 9:7

Over the last couple of weeks you have heard about Stewardship and Planned Giving. We have asked that all parishioners prayerfully reflect on what they

contribute to our parish, having taken into consideration the needs of our parish and having reflected on the message of stewardship.

This weekend we ask that all parishioners complete a promise card. These cards will remain private and confidential. Please provide your full contact

details and select the method of offertory giving best suited to you. If you pay UK income tax, please sign the Gift Aid declaration (in one name only) so that

the parish can claim 25p back from the government for every £1 that you donate, at no extra cost to yourself.

Finally, we thank you for all that you already do for our parish. Without your continued support, these precious places of worship would not continue to be

able of offer the hope of the Gospel as together we do today.

If you have any questions, there will be volunteers available after Mass today to field them and either have an answer, or know where to get one!

On behalf of Cardinal Vincent, Thank you.

********************************************************************** PALM CROSSES: It is time to return palm crosses from last year so that they may be burned to prepare ash for Ash Wednesday. Please use the box in the foyer of church to leave crosses. The box will be there for the next 2 weeks. We can’t take any crosses back after that, they will go to waste.
