WHY IPADS?

• Everything we do will connect back to your classes

• iPad will be used in class and homework will be assigned on the iPad

• We'll use the eSpark program to make a unique plan for YOU on your iPad

OUR APPROACH

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES IN THE ACCEPTABLE USE AGREEMENT

WHEN IN DOUBT

Students are expected to use the iPad for SCHOOL related activities

Any other iPad use must be approved by a teacher or parent, and can't interfere with a student's work

SOME BASICS• St. Gabriel's owns the iPads

• Grade 4 will park their iPads at school for the first grading period (9-weeks)

• iPads will live in charging carts

WHAT DO WE EXPECT OF STUDENTS?

• Bring the iPad fully charged to school

• Keep your iPad with you (don't lose it!)

• Don't let anyone else use your iPad

• Keep the iPad in it's case

• Report any problems, damage or theft to your teacher first

• iPad use falls under our Acceptable Use Policy

LIMITATIONS

• Personalization of the equipment

• Facetime or any type of video chatting

• iMessage or any type of messaging/chatting

• Your parents can enable restrictions

• Web Filter

• Your school iTunes account

• Getting school issued Apps

• Getting additional Apps & content with your parents

WHAT IF MY IPAD BREAKS?

• Come see Mr. Lipstein right away

• Accidental damage and loss = insurance

• $50 deductible to the family

• Does not cover negligence
