FIRST FRIDAY
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION This Friday, June 7 is First Friday and our
parish day of Eucharistic Adoration. Adoration begins
at 10 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and closes
from 5-6 p.m. with exposition of the Blessed Sacra-
ment. Any questions or to sign up and commit for a
specific time, call 426-9954. All are invited to also
attend First Friday Mass at Immaculate Conception
followed by Rosary and Benediction.
GRIEF SUPPORT Our next grief support session will begin
Tuesday evening, June 11th and run for
three weeks through June 25th, 6:30-8
p.m. Any one in the parish/area who has experienced
a loss of some kind - including a death, illness, job or
relationship loss - is invited to attend. The evening
will include a great deal of conversation, discussion,
prayer and support. No cost. An RSVP to Sue
at [email protected] is most appreciated!
Are you the non-Catholic spouse
who has been sitting in the pew for
the past year (or five, or twenty),
unable to fully participate in the Eu-
charistic liturgy? Is it time? Let's
get together and talk about how to
make this happen! Give Sue a call
at the parish offices (254-6233 ext 313), or email her
SPRING FLING SENIOR DINNER The “Spring Fling” senior appreciation dinner, sponsored by the Health and Wellness committee, was a
huge success! So many attended and connected with fellow parishioners at our 6th annual event, held on May 4,
2019. We would like to thank and recognize our donors that helped to make many a senior happy to receive door
prizes. We couldn't have done this without the donations from American Donuts, Dot's Supermarket, Asia Gour-
met, Clancy's, Hasty Tasty, Veritas Bookstore, Don Patron, Red Lobster, Panera Bread, Cherry House Cafe,
Cheddars, Golden Corral, Longhorn Steakhouse, First Watch, City BBQ, Frisch's, Fresh Thyme, Flowerama, Tex-
as Roadhouse, and Dynamic Solutions (Paula Sabo, a fellow parishioner). Much gratitude for the efforts to put
together an outdoor basket, by Judy Hicks, and beautiful ceramic pots with cacti, assembled and grown, by Deb
Danner. Of course, there were so many reasons to be grateful for our many volunteers.

VBS ADULT PROGRAM It’s not only for the young ones this year!
Monday, June 16 – Thursday, June 21, 2019 9:15-10:45 a.m.
St. Julie Center
Join us for an engaging week of looking at how various parents and
grandparents throughout the history of our faith tradition dealt with difficult
and disappointing children, reluctant teenagers, the various trials of parent-
ing, and all the many different joys and delights family life brought
them! How did they live holy and meaningful lives in the midst of it all?
What can their stories teach us today? We will talk about Mary the Blessed
Mother, Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, and St. Helen, as well as several more
contemporary holy people, including Enrique Shaw, Dorothy Day and Hil-
degard Burjan. Be prepared for discussions, prayer, videos and presenta-
tions, as well as plenty of sharing and coffee!
NO COST to participants! CHILDCARE AVAILABLE! Regis-
tration not necessary (except to arrange childcare), but encouraged.
Drop-ins welcome. Contact Sue Sack at 254-6233 ext 313 or email
[email protected] for more information.

pate in the Children’s program

Teens entering grades 7 - 12 are
invited to come to a Teen Pro-
gram each evening, Sunday

led by a team of young adults who
are on fire for our faith and share
that faith with the whole parish
throughout their time with us for
TOTUS TUUS.
The theme for this year’s
catechesis is the Sacraments and
Sorrowful Mysteries of the Ro-
sary. For more information about
TOTUS TUUS, please contact
Sean Kelly at 937-254-6233 or
hope to see you and your family
there this summer!!! Open Regis-

books, magazines, or encyclopedias please) at room

FESTIVAL FLEA MARKET
NEEDS DONATIONS! Turn-in begins Memorial Day weekend in the
Smith Building. The Flea Market is pure profit for the
Parish. Popular items include household items, toys,
tools, craft supplies, mystery garage stuff. We cannot
accept shoes, clothing, gas powered anything, TVs,
computer printers, or any furniture larger than a
folding chair or side table. Questions? Just ask! Call
Acting Chair Fran Hary 937-671-0237
The window to donate is just one week long.
Donation turn-in stops on Sunday, June 2 (11 am-
3 pm) It's too dangerous for drivers to navigate the
grounds during booth and ride set-up.
THE FESTIVAL BASKET BOOTH
NEEDS YOUR HELP We are currently creating baskets and would
greatly appreciate any donations you are willing to
give. You can create your own basket or let us do it
for you. Although each basket is supposed to be
worth at least $200 we will combine any size dona-
tion with others, so no donation is too small. Or may-
be you are part of a group that would like to join to-
gether to make a basket. If you’d like to create your
own basket, we have information regarding what bas-
kets have done well in the past. Please contact Eliza-
beth Gosser (937-231-1298) or Kim Braun (937-470-
8220) if you have any questions. Donations can be
dropped off at the Parish Office, the School Office, or
the Credit Union. Thank you!
HELLO WONDERFUL ST. HELEN
COMMUNITY! The St. Helen Festival is fast approaching and
I am one of the co-chairs of the Funnel Cake Booth.
This year the St. Helen Festival is on Friday, June 7th;
Saturday, June 8th; and Sunday, June 9th. We NEED
volunteers to work this booth. It's fun, easy, and no
prior experience is required. All we need is a few
hours of your time.
Because of the nature of the funnel cake booth
(hot oil), we can't have any children working the
booth, but we can use as many people age 16 or older
that are able to work as we can get.
If you are willing to help us out with a shift or
two, please use the link below to sign up.

open all weekend long. Can you dress 6 dolls for
us? Please stop by the parish or school office to pick
them up, and return anytime during festival set-
up. Contact Lisa, 902-9905 for more info.
