C.W.L. NEWS Our next General Membership meeting and complimentary luncheon will be on Sunday, November 4 at 12:30 pm in Meeting Room #2. All women of the Parish are welcome to attend. In continuing with helping the homeless, C.W.L.’s across the province have initiated “Warmth & Comfort” Program. October 1 to December 31 St. Jerome C.W.L. is accepting your donations of socks (for men, women & children), peanut butter & crackers to be distributed to homeless shelters in our area. It is our hope that as a provincial project we will be able to make a bigger impact. We will keep you posted where these items can be dropped off. Reminder that women’s health & hygiene items may still be dropped off at the church office. Nomination forms for electing our new Council are due back October 29.

PARISH PANCAKE BREAKFAST Thank you to all who came out to support another delicious Parish family breakfast! Thank you to Dan and all who assisted him. Our next breakfast will be on Sunday December 9.

SENIORS & FRIENDS Meet every Wednesday at 10:00 am in Meeting Room #2 for fellowship, prayer and activities. On October 31, a nurse from Algoma Public Health will be our guest speaker to discuss nutrition. Please join us.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE On Tuesday November 6 we will celebrate a special Mass of Remembrance for all the deceased of the parish who died during the past year. If you have a

loved one who died and was buried from a different parish and wish to be part of the Mass, please call the parish office by October 30.

UNITED WAY PUMPKIN RESCUE On Thursday, November 1 & Friday, November 2 there will be a container here to drop off your old Hallowe’en pumpkins. These will be cleaned, cooked and recycled in the United Way kitchen.

BUS TO BRUCE MINES HOLY WALK St. Jerome’s is organizing a bus to travel to the Bruce Mines Holy Walk on Friday, November 16. The Holy Walk re-enacts the Christmas Story of Jesus as experienced by Mary and Joseph’s journey to the manger. The bus departs St. Jerome’s parking lot at 5:30 pm and returns at approximately 9:30 pm. We will be travelling with a Charter Coach Bus, equipped with a washroom. The cost per seat is $20 Reserve yours today by contacting our parish office. All are asked to dress warmly, refreshments will be served after the Walk, and a free will offering is accepted as entry to the Walk.

PASTA DINNER FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2019 There will be a pasta dinner on Friday, November 9 in the Parish Hall to raise funds for Vacation Bible School 2019. There will be 2 sittings 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Tickets are $12/adult, $7 for children 5-10 or $35 Family Rate (parents & children 5-10). Take out is available. Advance ticket sales only, at the Parish Office or after Masses in the north foyer. Menu: penne and meatballs, salad, bun, coffee, tea or juice and dessert.

THE PREGNANCY CENTRE 2018 “Change for Life” Baby Bottle Campaign results are in and St. Jerome Church raised $5,488.60. This years campaign reached $46,114.00. Thank you for your generosity!
