First Aid Room Core Contents Extra items as recommended/required
A first aid room is required for low risk workplaces with 200+ workers, high risk workplaces with 100+ workers or any workplace where an assessment indicates a first aid room is needed to provide appropriate first aid treatment. A well-organised first aid room contains all of the required items listed below and should be kept clean and up to date.
Your First Aid Room will also need the following facilities:
A chair and table (or desk)
A cupboard for storage
A door at least 1 metre wide for emergency services access
A floor area of at least 14 square metres
A telephone and/or emergency call system
Easy access to a sink with hot and cold water, and to bathroom facilities
Electrical power points
