Servants of St. Joseph The Worker
ALL MEN OF THE PARISH are invited to our meeting on Tuesday, October 29th. Starting at 6:30 PM, a guest speaker from the Villa Park Fire Department will speak on Fire Prevention, with regular meeting starting at 7:00 PM.
The Servants of St. Joseph are a men’s group who sup-ports St. John’s both Physically and Financially, WE help support the Picnic, decorate the Church at Christmas, and perform small maintenance type jobs around the campus. Financially, we were able to purchase mattresses for Villa Park Hope House, sent student to Washington, in process of buying soccer nets for our kids, and will sup-port the Kitchen project. Fundraising is our main source of income. We held a Spaghetti dinner last Spring, will have a Pancake Break-fast in February. Our biggest project is the $100 Club. For Sixty dollars per year, you can be part of a monthly drawing with three winners per month. Its like a monthly split the pot event, please see our brochure in the Nar-thex and please purchase a square!! We have fun while performing our mission and it gets us up and out of the house, socializing with other men with common interests. Please give us a try, looking forward to seeing you on the 29th in the Parish Hall.

This month St. John the Apostle Parish will conduct its Baby Bo les for Life campaign to benefit, support and educate pregnant women facing crisis or unintended pregnancies. The funds collected through the Bo les of Life campaign sup-port the programs and services of the Waterleaf Medical Clinic and Educa on Resource Center located in Aurora. Wa-terleaf provides prac cal help; pregnancy tes ng, ultrasounds, STD tes ng and treatment as well as con nuing educa-
on and support for women in our community who would otherwise be at risk for choosing abor on. Last year with the support of churches like St. John, Waterleaf provided 1,1718 client appointments, performed 504 pregnancy tests, 563 ultrasounds and rescued 101 babies. Here’s how you can help: 1.
