From the Principal's Pen:

First of all, I hope that the New Year has so far been a happy and a promising one. And I pray it continues to

be so. I invite Johnians, who were born in 1965, 1955 and 1945 to celebrate their 50th

, 60th

, and 70th

birthdays with their Alma Mater - SJC on 1st of August 2015.

The first batch of students taking Technology as a Stream for their Advanced Level Examinations are going

to sit for their final exams in August 2015. The Technology Faculty, housing a Mechanical Engineering

Unit, Civil Engineering Unit, Bio Systems Technology Unit and an Electrical Unit, is nearing completion.

After a careful inspection of the Technology Block, the Education State Minister, Hon. Mr. V.

Radhakirishnan, handed us the agreement to run the Unit. Following the State Minister’s visit, the opening

ceremony of the Technology Block has been scheduled for the 5th of July 2015.

We invite the Old Boys, staff, both tutorial and non-tutorial, parents and well-wishers to the opening

ceremony and look forward to your continued support. We take this opportunity to thank our alumni

benefactors and well-wishers who helped us by financially contributing towards the construction of the lab

and who helped us by sharing their time, ideas and expertise with us. A special word of thanks goes to the

old boys who invited me to Malaysia as Chief Guest for the past hostellers reunion on 1st March 2015.

50 million Rupees (25m for Buildings & 25m for

Machinery and Equipment) is not an easy amount

to raise. We are still in need. We urge the Old

Boys' Associations, old boys’ batches, small

groups of old boys, families, individuals and well-

wishers to contribute according to the urging in

your spirit. St. John's in return will remain

indebted to the help extended and erect a plaque in

appreciation of your selfless deed.

The 2061 students (including 124 hostellers), 124 academic staff and 44 non academic staff along with the

principal will be grateful for every assistance, financial or non-financial, big or small, each of you can

manage to chip in.

Our dream is a happier tomorrow with happier children…
