Houston We Have A Problem: This phrase was
used by the crew of the Apollo 13 moon flight to
report a major technical problem back to their
Houston base.
Catholics We Have A Problem: The world has
changed. Today only 22% of Catholics attend
Mass on Sunday. Today Catholicism has the
largest number of former members: 30.1 million.
This is just one reason why every Catholic is being
asked to rediscover Jesus and rediscover Catholi-
cism. As Matthew Kelly says, “there is genius in
Catholicism”. The Good News is that each one of
us can make a difference. “Be Bold, Be Catholic”.

SUNDAY'S READINGS First Reading: So she said to her husband, "I know that Elisha is a holy man of God. Since he visits us often, let us arrange a little room on the roof and furnish it for him with a bed, table, chair, and lamp, so that when he comes to us he can stay there." (2 Kgs 4:9-10) Psalm: For ever I will sing the goodness of the Lord. (Ps 89) Second Reading: If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. (Rom 6:8) Gospel: "Whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because the little one is a disciple--amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward." (Mt 10:42)
INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK: How does your commitment to Jesus Christ affect your life? Our faith is not just a private affair but something that in!luences all of our relationships. Our bap-tism brings us into a very intimate relationship with God and makes us a brother or a sister to all of God's children. That identity we share col-ors how we relate to them and the level of re-sponsibility we have to them. If we open our-selves to truly receive our God as Father and those with whom we journey as brothers and sisters, it can profoundly change and affect us. How has your baptism changed you?
Praying Moms will be meeting on July 10 at 6:00pm in the Rectory basement. For more info call Carla Grant 270-899-0579 or Susie Mattingly 270-270-589-7017

A Prayer for Our Nation: God our Fa-
ther, Giver of life, we entrust the United
States of America to Your loving care.
You are the rock on which this nation
was founded. You alone are the true
source of our cherished rights to life, lib-
erty and the pursuit of happiness. Re-
claim this land for Your glory and dwell
among Your people. Send Your Spirit to
touch the hearts of our nation´s leaders.
Open their minds to the great worth of
human life and the responsibilities that
accompany human freedom. Remind
Your people that true happiness is rooted
in seeking and doing Your will. Through
the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Pa-
troness of our land, grant us the courage
to reject the culture of death. Lead us in-
to a new millennium of life.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
