DIA DE TODOS LOS FIELES DIFUNTOS

El 2 de noviembre, es cuando oramos por nuestros seres queridos quienes han falleci-do y podrían estar en el Purgatorio. Ora-mos por la expiración de sus pecados. Tendremos una Misa Bilingüe celebrada en ese día, el Miércoles 2 de Noviembre a las 7:00 pm. Habrá sobres en la entrada de la iglesia para las intenciones del Día de los Fieles Difuntos. Se les pide una donación voluntaria y que sean consientes con la donación que van a ofrendar. El nombre de los difuntos será expuesto en un manto el día de la Misa, y se orara por todos ellos; también el Primer Viernes del mes durante todo un año. Si usted gusta que su ser querido sea recor-dado en esta Misa Especial, favor de regre-sar la inscripción junto con su donación antes del 28 de Octubre.

Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed

- All Souls Day

All Souls Day, Nov. 2, is when we pray for our loved ones who have died who may be in Purgatory. We pray for expiation of their sins and a swift journey, purified of all punishment due to sin, to the Loving arms of our Heavenly Father. A Special Bilingual Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. We will have, in the back of church, enve-lopes (for a free will donation) for you to place the names of all your loved ones, you wish remembered at the All Souls Mass as well as at the First Friday masses through-out the year. We also invite you to bring pictures of your loved ones who have gone to God and place them in the Sanctuary. We will be making a banner with the names of all our loves ones. Please turn in the names by the 28th of October.

On behalf of our seventeen hundred family commu-nity, we welcome you to St. Joseph parish in the Diocese of Joliet. As one of our new family members, we invite you to register at St. Joseph’s Church which invests you into the life of the Parish family. YOUTH 2000 ATTENTION ALL YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 13 – 30! The challenging message of Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II is being spread throughout the United States by an ini-tiative called YOUTH 2000. YOUTH 2000 is responding to the call to enable young people to live and proclaim the Gospel. You are invited to a YOUTH 2000 Retreat being held No-vember 18, 19 & 20, 2011 at Sacred Heart Parish in Lombard. You will have the opportunity to gather with other young people your age for prayer, adoration, singing and learning about our Catholic Faith. Upcoming Events...Joliet Diocesan Schools, along with Alexian Brothers Parish Services, are sponsoring a presentation of the education documentary Race to Nowhere at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles. The film will be shown on Wednesday, October 26th at 7:00pm. After the film there will be a panel discussion. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Upcoming Events...Join us on Monday, November 7th for Holy Family's 2nd annual Family Reading Night! There will be activities for the whole family: read to a therapy dog, play with an Amazon Kindle, sign up for a Bensenville library card, or listen to a storyteller. Of course, the night wouldn't be complete without shopping for books! Scholastic has all of the most recent and popular selections available. Bring the entire family for reading fun from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Holy Family gym!

Four Hour Marriage Retreat for Parents of Special Needs Kids

Please come together with other couples who are rais-ing special needs children for some time away, to hear some new ideas, to share experiences, maybe even laugh a bit, and to lay it all before God. The leaders will be Dr. Jim Healy and Dr. Madonna Wojtaszek-Healy who have both professional and personal experi-ence in this area. The retreat will run from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 29 at the St. Charles Pastoral Center in Romeoville. The $10 per person attendance fee covers refreshments, lunch, and all materials. The fee will be waived if necessary. Please call The Center for Family Ministry at 815-838-5334 to pre-register by Wednesday, October 26.

A Protecting God’s Children workshop will be held here on Monday October 24 from 6-9p.m. If you are interested in volunteering with children this workshop is mandatory. Please call the Faith Formation Office to register. TREE OF LIGHT INFANT MEMORIAL MASS

Sunday – November 6, 2011—2:00 p.m. All families and individuals are welcome to attend this Mass, celebrated by Bishop Imesch at the St. Charles Pastoral Center in Romeoville in remembrance of babies who have been lost

through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, other pregnancy losses or early childhood death. At 2:00 p.m., a special outdoor tree-lighting ceremony for family members to commemorate these babies will precede the mass. Family members may wish to arrive at 1:30 p.m. to sign in and to gather in the chapel. Please note that the time has changed from previous years. Friends and all family members are invited. A reception with light refreshments will be served immediately following. Please call 815-838-5334 to indicate the number of those planning to attend. If you are not able to attend and would like your baby remembered, please call us.
