Back to School Night

We had an excellent beginning to our school year and our students seemed to enjoy their first week back. Our dedicated teachers have prepared well for this new school year and your children will be challenged throughout the year to grow spiritually and academically. Don’t forget to join us Wednesday evening for our Back to School Night in the Parish Center beginning at 6:00 pm. This is a night for parents only.

Please do not bring children. Back to School Night will be an opportunity to:

• Meet Our Staff • Learn about New Programs • Hear about Fundraising Projects • Explore our After School Programs

Following our opening session in the Parish Center, you will be invited to stop by classrooms and meet the teachers. This will be an opportunity to gain more information about your child’s educational programs for this year.

Pikmykid Dismmissal App 84% of our families are now registered with Pikmykid on their phones. Let’s work together to get to 100%. Please remember to stop at the “Announce” sign and indicate your arrival with the app. If someone else is picking up your child, please have him or her display your child’s number when they stop by the staff “check point”. We appreciate your help and cooperation.

St. Joseph Catholic School

Room Parents Needed St. Joseph PTO would love to have you volunteer as a Homeroom Parent! This is a fun way to be involved in your child's class & enrich their school experiences all while earning your volunteer hours for the year. Homeroom Parents must be fingerprinted and completed the safe environment training to volunteer.

The primary responsibilities are: • Organize Class Parties (Christmas, Valentine's Day, & St. Joseph's Day) • Work with the classroom teacher • Arrange class gift

Safe Environment Class This class is required for all volunteers who come to our campus during the school day. Our next class is August 21st at 4:45 pm (Participants will be finished in time for Back to School Night)

Due to the content of the class, children may not be present. You must be registered to attend. Please register by visiting the Diocesan website at https://dioceseofvenice.org/ scroll to the bottom and select “Safe Environment” then select “Training Schedule” to choose the session you wish to attend. Yearbook Pictures Regular School Uniforms (NO PE UNIFORMS PLEASE)

Spunkmeyer Cookie Sale Our students will receive an Otis Spunkmeyer sales kit in their homeroom on Tuesday. This kit will include all information and directions for sellers. It will also indicate prize levels for each child. The proceeds from this sale will help fund student programs and activities throughout the school year. In addition to the famous Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, the students will be selling snack pizzas, Auntie Anne's pretzels, Cinnabon kits, and much more! Thank you for supporting this student fundraiser!

Cookie Bakers Needed

Four parent helpers are needed to bake cookies on Tuesday afternoon as we prepare for our Spunkmeyer kickoff. The cookies will be passed out to our parents in the car line during dismissal. We appreciate your help! Signup Link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/Spunkmeyer

COACHES NEEDED – Second Notice

We are in need of three volunteer coaches for this year: Cross Country Coach from the middle of August through December

Flag Football Coach from the beginning of school through August 28.

Boys Basketball from October 28 to the end of December.

This is a wonderful way to support our students and fulfill all of your volunteer hours for the year.
