Dear Fellow Parishioners:
It’s PICNIC TIME again! We will be having the annual event on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Fried Chicken and German
Pot Roast Dinner with real mashed potatoes will be served from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (dine in or carry outs).
Work List: Please work the time and in the position assigned to you or find a replacement. We cannot find replacements for you with all the other jobs to be completed. If you cannot work your scheduled time or change with someone else, please contact the stand chairperson of your assigned shift to let him or her know
of the change. All chairpersons (*) are responsible for setting up their stands and getting all the necessary
accessories. Please note: The work list has been established from the parish membership/enrollment as of June
2017. If you are no longer a member of the parish and/or know someone that is no longer a member, please call
the parish office at 455-2320 or send an email to [email protected].
Did we miss you? If you are new to the parish and your name is not on the work list or we missed your name by
mistake, please contact one of the picnic chairpersons and the parish office. Your help would be very much
appreciated.
Raffle Tickets: The work list and 12 raffle tickets are enclosed. More tickets are available if you need them;
contact a picnic chairperson. Extra copies of the work list will be in the back of church for anyone who did not
receive one. If your name is not on the mailing list, please contact the parish office to have it added.
Leftovers: The leftovers (chicken, beef, vegetables, pie, bread, etc) will be sold after 7:30 pm in the dining room.
Thank you to all the parishioners who work extra shifts and go the extra mile to make the picnic run smoothly. We
appreciate everyone whose names no longer appear on the work list but have dedicated many years of service to
our parish picnic. This is truly a community effort and celebration of our great parish! We couldn’t have a
successful picnic without the cooperation and support of all of our parishioners.
Pray for mild weather and a great turnout for the picnic! Thank you in advance for helping to make this picnic a

Each family is asked to donate the following: $10.00 cash for meat - Place money in envelope marked “Picnic-meat donation” from July envelopes and drop
in the collection basket. Two fruit or cream pies, or comparable amount of servings of other desserts (cookies, brownies, cupcakes,
cheesecakes, etc.) – Please label. *** Please note - cream pies and cheesecakes from outside the kitchen are allowed ***
Two loaves of bread - Please slice. Two or more items for the country store (all types of homemade and homegrown items, especially new
potatoes, berry pies, picked out nuts, jellies, jams, homemade breads, pickles, coffeecakes, angel food cakes,
plants, etc) - Please price.
Anyone having tomatoes and/or cucumbers to donate can bring them to the kitchen Saturday or Sunday morning. The
kitchen will be open each day by 7:00 am. If possible, please bring them no later than 10:00 am on Sunday morning.
Please return unsold raffle tickets to the raffle stand on the day of the picnic. Sold raffle tickets may be turned in
anytime by placing them and the money in an envelope labeled with your name and “raffle tickets” in the collection
basket. If additional raffle tickets are needed, please contact one of the chairpersons.
An “*” denotes chairpersons for each stand. All chairpersons are responsible for setting up their stands and getting the
