Four of our young people are selling raffle tickets to help with the costs of attending NCYC in November. Tickets are being sold after all masses. $5.00 each or $20 for five. The raffle drawing will take place at the Parish Picnic on September 10th. Prizes will include a handmade king size quilt and other themed baskets.

Volunteer for Liturgy of the Word with Children Would you consider working with young children to bring God’s word to their young ears? Training is available. Liturgy with Children happens during the Scripture readings, Gospel and Homily at Mass. Children leave before the first reading, and return after the prayer of the faithful. Diocesan Marriage Jubilee The 45th Annual Marriage Jubilee Celebration will be held Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at 2:00 PM at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, corner of Eagle St. and Madison Ave., Albany, New York. Couples celebrating their 25th, 40th, 50th or other special wedding anniversaries are invited to attend this celebration. Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger will celebrate the Liturgy at 2:00 PM and greet couples and their guests at a reception in the gathering area at the Cathedral immediately following Mass. Mission Cooperative Plan The Mission Co-op Plan assigns a mission group to every parish to speak about the work of our church in other parts oaf the world and to remind us that our church is fundamentally a Mission Church. Next weekend we will welcome Shaun Kuter who works with the missions in Haiti. Shaun will share how we can help Hands Together, a mission outreach working in Haiti. Please come prepared to help the poorest of the poor.
