LITURGY OF THE DAY We say “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,” not in the names of the Father, Son, and Spirit. For God, though three persons, is One. This is perhaps the most central mystery of our faith. Today

we have the opportunity to reflect on the reality that God, though One, was able to send the Son and the Holy Spirit to us, to save us and to be with us forever.

Decimos, “en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y el Espíritu Santo” y no en los nombres del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo, pues, aunque en Dios hay tres personas, es un solo Dios. Éste sea tal vez el misterio más central de nuestra fe. Hoy tene-mos la oportunidad de reflexionar en la realidad de que este único Dios nos mandó al Hijo y al Espíritu Santo para salvarnos y para permanecer con nosotros para siempre.

The first reading from Deuterono-my prompts us to fix in our hearts the truth that God is the Lord of both heaven and earth and there is no oth-er god. Saint Paul reminds us that, because we received the Spirit of adoption in baptism, we are now children of God. In the Gospel Jesus charges us with the responsibility to make other disciples. Conoce al Espíritu Santo (Parte II) Por: Padre Luis Martínez P., M.S.p.S

Lo primero que hacemos cuando nos encontramos con una persona es pregun-tarle quién es, de dónde viene, cuál es su nombre, qué quiere, etc. Entonces em-

pieza el diálogo, que, si descubrimos que la persona es buena, se convierte en amistad. Eso, precisamente es lo que nos hace falta con respecto al Espíritu Santo. Si sabemos que es una Per-sona, debemos hablarle, llamarlo, esperar su respuesta. Y si sabemos, como la fe nos dice, que esa Persona es Amor, enton-ces encontramos a aquella persona que todos buscamos con ansias por la vida. Una Persona que no sólo tiene amor sino que es Amor. Y un Amor perfecto, sin límites, que siempre da más, que nunca se agota ni cansa, sino que siempre es nuevo, en una palabra, un Amor que es Dios. Y… una Persona que siempre perdona, que todo lo sana, todo lo renueva, que triunfa de todas nuestras miserias, traiciones y pecados. ¿No es eso precisamente lo que todos necesitamos? Me dirás: «es que yo no oigo que el Espíritu Santo me hable…» Pues mira: Él es Espíritu, por lo tanto habla a tu espíritu. No habla a tus senti-dos, sino a tu alma, a tu corazón, a tu mente, a tu interior. Pe-ro, claro, si tú nunca entras a tu interior ¿Cómo quieres escu-charlo? … Sólo te digo: llámalo y verás si te responde o no. Y dale tiempo y condiciones para escucharlo. No vivas de lo de afuera sino de lo de dentro. Si entras, lo escucharás. Te lo ga-rantizo. (©Misioneros del Espíritu Santo)
