Hi all!

I read the Secret of the Rosary at the beginning of the year and began using a method ofpraying the Rosary that is suggested towards the end of the book after the 50 roses. It saysthat to help you keep your mind from wandering (have you ever found yourself forgettingwhich mystery you were meditating on? I know I have.) you may add a phrase after "thy

womb, Jesus" in the Hail Mary.E.g., for the Joyful Mysteries, the mystery of the Annunciation, Montfort suggests adding thephrase "incarnate" after "[...]blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus (incarnate). Holy Mary[...]"

If you haven't read the book or that particular part this is what it suggests:Quote:

I'd like to gage what other members would think he would have written for the LuminousMysteries if St Louis de Montfort had been around to see them.

Have you thought of any ideas for the prayer after the set of mysteries? You know like theones in the book, "Grace of the Joyful Mysteries, come down into our souls and make themreally holy", "Grace of the Sorrowful Mysteries, come down into our souls and make themtruly patient," and "Grace of the Glorious Mysteries, come down into our souls and makethem everlastingly happy".

Here is one idea: Grace of the Luminous Mysteries, come down into our souls and make thembetter reflect Christ, our Light.

Does anyone have any other ideas?__________________

Another way found in the Secret of the Rosary, begins each decade with a short prayer andends it, asking for one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to help us be closer to Jesus Christ. For

Yes, that's good. I was trying to think of a better word than "better". Yes, I have been thinkingabout Luminous Mystery prayers for those too. I have kind of an idea about something to say

for them except the first one, the Baptism of Jesus. I'm not sure what virtue that teaches. Iwill be thinking about those prayers, too, though. .__________________

Second: We offer thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of the Miracle at Cana, and we askof Thee, through this mystery and the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, to alwaysremember the power of Mary's prayers.

Grace of the Miracle at Cana, come down into my soul and make me remember the value ofMary's intercession.

Third: We offer thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of the Proclamation of the Kingdom,and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, thatwe will obey Your teachings and seek the kingdom of God.

Grace of the Proclamation of the Kingdom, come down into my soul and help me obey Christ

and seek His kingdom.

Fourth: We offer thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Your Transfiguration, and we askof Thee, through this mystery and the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, that the thought ofYour glory will strengthen us in sufferings and trials.

Grace of the Transfiguration, come down into my soul and strengthen me in sufferings andtrials.

Fifth: We offer thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Your Institution of the Eucharist,and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, toincrease our love, devotion, and gratitude when we receive You in the Blessed Sacrament.

I really had no idea what to think for the Luminous Mysteries until I checked out theCatechism entries about it...the CCC is really like a Bible for Dummies!

The Baptism in the JordanQuote:

A final mystery of light is the institution of the Eucharist, in which Christ offers his body andblood as food under the signs of bread and wine, and testifies to the end his love forhumanity (Jn 13:1), for whose salvation he will offer himself in sacrifice.
