Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time • JULY 1, 2018
St. Louis
He took the child by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum,"
which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!" The girl, a child of
twelve, arose immediately and walked around. At that they
were utterly astounded. - Mk 5:41-42

Ministry of Prayer and Praise Intentions for July That God will strengthen and bless America and make our nation a beacon of
liberty and justice to the world.
That God’s blessings may fall on all families gathered together for reunions or
for a time of rest.
That in this season of vacations we may find rest for body and soul in the
beauty of our woods, mountains, lakes and seacoasts, as we discover anew
God’s lavish gifts to us.
That the children of our parish may grow in grace and joy, experiencing the
warmth of God’s love for them in the setting of family life.
That those whom God is calling to the priesthood and religious life may
respond eagerly in faith and generosity, and find support in their families and
friends. That all who suffer from terminal illness may find strength in their oneness
with Christ dying on His cross and in the compassionate love of His Mother
who stood close to Him to the end.

Vacation Bible Camp - Thank You! During the week of June 18-22, over 85 campers and 40 volunteers were
shipwrecked on the Island of Vacation Bible Camp. The campers, known as the
Truthful Toucans, Merciful Mantas, Incredible Iguanas, Sleepy Sloths, Saintly
Seahorses and Joyful Jaguars, learned that no matter what, Jesus Rescues! They
also donated food to the Summer Food Program. It takes many volunteers to help
make VBC a success. A big thanks goes out to all the adults and teens that
volunteered their time, talent and treasure to help evangelize our young campers.
Thanks to all the parents and grandparents for allowing their children the
opportunity to experience VBC. Thanks to parishioners for supporting the program.
Thanks to our young campers for your fantastic attitudes. We had a GREAT week!
Save the date for next year: June 17-21, 2019!
If anyone is interested in serving on the VBC planning committee or would like to
provide feedback from the week, please contact Amy Tonges at
