17th Sunday in Ordinary Time July 24, 2016 St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church

Dear Parishioners, I am pleased to thank the many of you who responded last week to our challenge to spend time before our Lord in the adora-

tion chapel, to pray for our police forces, and for peace in our coun-try and the world. But I still want to encourage more of you to be there, for the rest of July! It may well be because of YOUR willing-ness to go out of your comfort zone and pray at the chapel that the violence which

has plagued Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and many other parts of our country and world does not come to Slidell. Be willing to do something positive about it! We have the power of prayer, and God and His Blessed Mother are on our side! Don’t be too proud or lazy to go to them and ask for divine help! Next week we will begin the second daily Masses. So once again, let me lay out

the new schedule for you so you can see it clearly. Remember, the 8:45 a.m. daily

Masses Monday through Friday remain the same, as does the First Saturday 8:45 a.m.

Mass.

Beginning Monday, August 1, here is the new daily schedule: Mondays 8:45 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.

Tuesdays 8:45 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.

Wednesdays 6:00 A.M. and 8:45 A.M.

Thursdays 6:00 A.M. and 8:45 A.M.

Fridays 8:45 A.M. and 12:10 P.M.

God bless you all,

Father Pat
