not satisfying the demands of Theodoric the Arian king in Ravenna and not knowing his fate he died there a
wretched man ill and worn out from his travels buried in Rome his epitaph salutes him as a ldquovictim for Christrdquo
Wednesday May 20 Saint Bernardine of Siena Priest ndash died in 1444 OFM famous reformer and eloquent
preacher who traveled throughout Italy encouraged devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus known for his use of the
monogram IHS (an abbreviation of the Greek name for Jesus) patron of advertisers and advertising invoked
against hoarseness

with a brutal husband and had two sons After the violent murder of his husband she urged forgiveness in contrast
to the customary vendetta of her day Becoming an Augustinian nun she spent some forty years in prayer
contemplation and service to the sick and poor Toward the end of her life she received a wound from a thorn
from the crown of thorns She died in 1457 She is the patron saint of desperate situations

The SMM Food Pantry ministry operates every Wednesday morning We provide a meal as well as food supplies to 40 ndash80 families per week We purchase food supplies from ETFB at a cost of $500-
$1000 per week During this trying times we are operating a DriveThru pantry and ToGo lunches
and we are happy to report that it has been a success thanks to an amazing group of volunteers and
the generosity of our parishioners
We could not continue this amazing work without your support If you wish to make a donation

and we are happy to report that it has been a success thanks to an amazing group of volunteers and
the generosity of our parishioners

Wednesday May 20 Saint Bernardine of Siena Priest ndash died in 1444 OFM famous reformer and eloquent

The SMM Food Pantry ministry operates every Wednesday morning We provide a meal as well as food supplies to 40 ndash80 families per week We purchase food supplies from ETFB at a cost of $500-
$1000 per week During this trying times we are operating a DriveThru pantry and ToGo lunches
and we are happy to report that it has been a success thanks to an amazing group of volunteers and
the generosity of our parishioners
We could not continue this amazing work without your support If you wish to make a donation
please go to our church website mail or bring your envelope to the office

We had 64 Clients giving out 74 bags of groceries and 240 to go lunches
Diocese of Tyler - Nurse Hotline During this time Parish Registered Nurses
are available by phone to help parishioners

Complete Sacrament InformationRequest (contact Mary Sue)
Baptismal Certificate (if you have not turned in you will be required to do so as soon as activities resume)
Complete packet (red folder) at home and hold on to until we resume activities
Pick a Confirmation Saint and complete Confirmation
Name Report Form (if you donrsquot have a form have your child write a short report)
Complete the ParentSponsor Sessions
Choose a Confirmation Sponsor (This is someone you admire for their faith Youth parents and the sponsor work together to grow in faith and prepare for the Sac-raments of ConfirmationHoly Communion
Take and pass the confirmation assessment Write a 2-3 paragraph letter to Bishop Strickland
(email to Mary Sue or hold until we resume activities) explaining what the Sacrament of Confirmation is and why you want to receive it
