NEW DOOR & INCREASED SECURITY AT
ADORATION CHAPEL
Thanks to the generosity of the
McCarthy Foundation, we will be able
to increase the security of the
Adoration Chapel. Starting August
17th, a new door will be installed at
the Chapel with an added security
measure.
The doors of the Chapel will open
automatically at 5:00 am and will
close at 11:00 pm. All those who wish to pray in the
evening (a laudable and highly recommended
devotional practice) are welcome, but must register
with the parish beforehand. Registering for
Nocturnal Adoration means that you agree to do at
least one hour of prayer before the Blessed
Sacrament weekly. All the volunteers for Nocturnal
Adoration will receive a personal digital key (or
"fob") that will allow them access to the Chapel.
Without a digital key, the Chapel will not be
accessible at night. That is why we ask that all those
interested in doing Nocturnal Adoration, please
contact the parish office as soon as possible to
register. Thank you!
PARISH FEAST- AUGUST 15th
Due to the extraordinary circumstances that surround us at this time, we will have a
smaller celebration of the Parish Feast. On August 15th, we will celebrate the solemn
Mass of the Feast of St. Mary of the Assumption at 8:00 am in Spanish, and at 12:00 pm
in English, in the Church. Everyone is invited to these Masses where we can honor the
Virgin Mary and ask her for a special grace.
On Sunday, August 16th, we will hold, God willing, the CAR RAFFLE, at 8:00 pm in the
Gym.
FIESTAS PATRONALES
Debido a las circunstancias extraordinarias que nos rodean en este tiempo, tendremos
una celebración más reducida de las Fiestas Patronales. El día 15 de Agosto,
celebraremos la Misa solemne de la Fiesta de la Virgen de la Asunción a las 8:00 am en español, y a
las 12:00 pm en inglés, en la Iglesia. Están todos invitados a estas Misas donde podremos honrar a la
Virgen María y pedirle una gracia especial.
El Domingo, 16 de Agosto, haremos Dios mediante la RIFA DEL CARRO, a las 8:00 pm en el
gimnasio.
NUEVA PUERTA, SEGURIDA EN LA
CAPILLA DEL SANTISIMO Gracias a la generosidad de
McCarthy Foundation, vamos a
poder aumentar la seguridad de la
Capilla del Santísimo. A partir del 17
de Agosto, se instalará una nueva
puerta con una medida añadida de
seguridad.
Las puertas de la Capilla se abrirán
automáticamente a las 5:00 am y se
cerrarán a las 11:00 pm. Todos aquellos que deseen
orar en la noche (una práctica de devoción laudable
y muy recomendable), están bienvenidos,
pero deben registrarse en la parroquia de
antemano. Registrarse como Adorador Nocturno
significa que se compromete a hacer
mínimamente 1 hora de oración delante del
Santísimo semanalmente. Todos los adoradores
nocturnos recibirán una llave digital (o “ fob”)
personal que les permitirá acceder a la Capilla. Sin
llave digital no se podrá acceder a la Capilla en la
noche. Es por eso pedimos que todos aquellos
interesados en hacer Adoración nocturna, por favor
contacten a la oficina parroquial lo antes posible

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
REGISTRATIONS REGISTRATIONS
We are happy to announce that next
weekend we will begin registrations
for all Religious Education classes for
children and adults and all the
Religious Sacramental Preparation
Programs. This includes the process
for the Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults (RCIA). The RCIA process
follows the ancient practice of the Church and was
restored by the Second Vatican Council as the
normal way adults prepare for baptism as well as
the adapted process for children and the
youth. RCIA is applied to all unbaptized persons 7
years of age or more who have never been baptized
and who need a process to help them grow in
awareness to God's call to conversion as well as
ways to respond to that call. They are considered
catechumens. Also for the Baptized but
uncatechized person who is 13 yrs of age or older
who will prepare to celebrate the sacraments of
penance, confirmation and Eucharist.
We are also registering for First Communion,
Confirmation for teens and Adults as well as Post
Communion children in grades 2 through 8 who
have received their first communion but continue to
be catechized in their Catholic faith.
In addition, this year we are providing Adult Faith Adult Faith
Formation classes for parents Formation classes for parents as part of the
Religious Education Sacramental Program. We
realized that many parishioners were also interested
in taking classes for Adult Faith Formation so we
have opened up the classes to all parishioners who
are interested in learning more and continue to grow
in their faith.
We of course will continue to apply and follow all
recommendations from the Archdiocese and
Governor Baker regarding social distancing in order
to assure a healthy and safe new year of Religious
Education.
Next weekend, Catechists will have a registration table in the side exits were you may pick up forms and information as you exit the church. You may also stop by the
office beginning Monday, July 26th to register during regular office hours.

Nos complace anunciar que el
próximo fin de semana comenzaremos
las inscripciones para el Catecismo de
niños y adultos y todos los programas
de preparación sacramental. Esto
incluye el proceso para el Rito de la
Iniciación Cristiana de adultos
(RICA). El proceso RICA sigue la
antigua práctica de la Iglesia y fue restaurado por el
Concilio Vaticano II como la forma normal en que
los adultos se preparan para el bautismo, así como el
proceso adaptado para los niños y jóvenes. RICA se
aplica a todas las personas no bautizadas de 7 años
de edad o más que nunca se han bautizado y que

Además, este año estamos ofreciendo clases de clases de
Formación en la Fe para AdultosFormación en la Fe para Adultos para los padres
como parte del Programa Sacramental de Educación
Religiosa. Nos dimos cuenta de que muchos
feligreses también están interesados en tomar clases
para la Formación en la Fe, por lo que hemos abierto
las clases a todos los feligreses que estén interesados
en aprender más y continuar creciendo en su fe.
Por supuesto, continuaremos aplicando y siguiendo

CARE OF THE SICK - Please inform us when a parishioner is confined at home, admitted to a nursing home or a hospital. CUIDADO DE LOS ENFERMOS - Por favor infórmenos si conoce de algún feligrés incapacitado(a) en su casa, hospitalizado o en un asilo de ancianos.
BAPTISM - (English) The process for infant baptism and children under 7 years old is as follows: Parent(s) call the office to request an appointment. In that appointment the whole process will be explained. Godparents must be practicing Catholics, be over 16 years of age, and have the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation and live their lives according to the teachings of Christ and His Church. Godparents can be single. If the person has a partner, he/she must be married by the Church. Free union or civil marriage is not enough. Proof of Confirmation and Marriage by the Church. The godparents must bring their Confirmation, and Church Marriage certificate (if they are married). When all relevant documents are received the dates will be given to attend the Baptismal Parent Class, the Presentation in the Church, the class for parents and godparents and the date of the baptism.
BAUTISMO - (Español) El proceso para el bautismo de infantes y niños menores de siete años es el siguiente: Los padres llaman a la oficina para solicitar una cita. En esa cita se explicará todo el proceso. Los padrinos deben ser católicos practicantes, tener más de 16 años y tener los Sacramentos del Bautismo, la Primera Comunión y la Confirmación, y vivir sus vidas de acuerdo con las enseñanzas de Cristo y su Iglesia. Los padrinos pueden ser solteros. Si la persona tiene pareja, debe estar casado(a) por la Iglesia. La unión libre o el matrimonio civil no es suficiente. NO INTENTIONS ARE TAKEN BEFORE MASS. Please do not come to the sacristy before Mass to look for the priest to ask for Mass intentions. Mass intentions are only taken by coming or calling the parish offices.
*If you want to offer a Novena of Masses for a deceased, also call the parish offices. Remember that the person must have passed away recently.
