Welcome to St. Mary’s of the Lake 2

Pray the Rosary Join us every Wednesday before Mass at 8:00am to pray the Rosary for the sick of the parish and on Fridays at 8:00am for Peace.

A PRAYER OF SOLIDARITY [COVID-19]

For all who have contracted coronavirus, we pray for care and healing. For those who are particularly vulnerable, we pray for safety and protection. For all who experience fear or anxiety, we pray for peace of mind and spirit. For affected families who are facing difficult decisions between food on the table or public safety, we pray for policies that recognize their plight. For those who do not have adequate health insurance, we pray that no family will face financial burdens alone. For those who are afraid to access care due to immigration status, we pray for recognition of the God-given dignity of all. For our brothers and sisters around the world, we pray for shared solidarity. For public officials and decision makers, we pray for wisdom and guidance. Father, during this time may your Church be a sign of hope, comfort and love to all. Grant peace. Grant comfort. Grant healing. Be with us, Lord. Amen.

(USCCB – United States Conferences of Catholic Bishop)

Fifth Sunday of Lent March 29, 2020 Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Mary’s of the Lake: I trust that you were able to watch Mass on TV (or live-stream) this past Sunday (our Fourth Sunday of Lent). Again, may I invite you to do so again this Sunday. The Gospel for this Sunday, our Fifth Sunday of Lent, is the story of Martha & Mary and their brother Lazarus. When Lazarus died before Jesus came, Martha & Mary were besides themselves with grief. Four days after Lazarus’ burial Jesus finally arrived, and Jesus brought hope & joy. Our Lord ultimately revealed Himself that He Himself is the resurrection and life. In a loud voice Jesus cried out, “Lazarus, come out!” the dead man came out from the realm of death... Along with the whole world, we are now besides ourselves with grief as we face the terrible Covid-19 virus. We turn to Jesus, and pray that the Lord have mercy on us and on the whole world.
