MARIAN MONSOON FEST
Marian Monsoon Fest – A Fest for Student Entrepreneurship and Welfare was
organized on 26 and 27 July 2019. Sri Siju Wilson, Cine Artist inaugurated the Fest.
Programmes included cultural Extravaganza, Exhibition cum sale of variety products
and educational fair.
TOPPERS DAY
To congratulate and honour the outstanding students of 2019 UG Batch, Toppers Day
was organized on 30 -7-2019. Dr M. Nasser, Director of Research, University of
Calicut was the Guest of the Day
ORIENTATION -TEACHING AS A VOCATION, MISSION AND PROFESSION
An Orientation -Teaching as a Vocation, Mission and Profession was arranged by IQAC
on Col. Fr. Thomas .C. Mathew, Christ University V.C, former Vice Chancellor, Christ
University, Bangalore on 6-8-19.He spoke of balancing personal, societal and academic
involvement contributing the best. Teachers should be aware of local and global
understanding based on traditions and culture and should respond to worldwide needs and
concerns
THREE DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP ON HARITHAM: LEARNING FOR
GOING GREEN
IQAC organised a Three Day Training Workshop on Haritham: Learning for Going
Green from 7-8-2019 to 9-8-2019 in Collaboration with Nature’s Green Guardians
Foundation, Thiruvananthapuram and Social work Apostolate, CMC Nirmala
Province, Thrissur. In the workshop. Practice sessions of how and what of green audit
was given.
THREE DAY WORKSHOP ON ACCESSIBLE BOOKS FOR PERSONS WITH
PRINT DISABILITY
IQAC in association with College Library, St Mary’s College, organized a three Day
Workshop on Accessible Books for Persons with Print Disability from 7-8-2019 to
9-8-2019. The workshop was held in collaboration with Daisy Forum, India. The
students and faculty were trained to prepare audio books for the blind.
ORIENTATION ON CUCBCSS (UG) CURRICULUM FRAME WORK
In connection with the revised UG Syllabus, IQAC organized an orientation on
CUCBCSS (UG) Curriculum Frame work by Dr. C L Joshy, Registrar, University
of Calicut on. 16-10-19. The newly appointed Registrar was felicitated by principal on
the occasion. Detailed discussions on attendance, internal assessment and course design
was held.
SPECTRUM 2019 AND IGNITE 2019
To foster Research interests in student community, IQAC organized Power Point
and Paper Presentation Competitions, Spectrum 2019 and Ignite 2019 for UG & PG
students respectively. 178 students from different disciplines presented papers on
diverse topics in both the competitions
WORKSHOP ON INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE IN HIGHER
EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
IQAC organized a Workshop on Internal Quality Assurance in Higher Education
Institutions by Prof. S. V. Sudheer, Director, HRDC, University of Kerala on 9-3-2020.
He presented the need for assuring quality through benchmarking. He stresses on the
Quality standards to be maintained by HEI in all respects. He motivated the faculty to
ensure holistic development of students rather than just concentrating on academics.
Prof Sudheer interacted with the IQAC Criterion groups and guided the preparations
