ANY JEALOUS BONES IN YOUR BODY?
"Are you jealous?" —Numbers 11:29
The devil couldn't stop the seventy-two Israelite elders from receiving the
Spirit (see Nm 11:25-26). However, he hoped to be more successful by
enticing the Israelites to quench the Spirit (1 Thes 5:19) through jealousy
(Nm 11:29).
Demons could not prevent a man from using Jesus' name to expel the
m (Mk 9:38). Therefore, they tried to stop the continuation of this man's
ministry of deliverance (Mk 9:38). Once again, the demons tried to
accomplish this through jealousy.
Jesus is dead set against jealous people being sad at others' successes and
thereby saddening the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:30). He warns that if we're jealous
of other people's hands because they work better than ours and can make
more money, then we should cut off our own hands rather than remain
rooted in jealousy (Mk 9:43). If we're jealous of others' speed, strength, or
health, we should cut off our feet (Mk 9:45). If we're jealous of how others
look, we should tear out one of our eyes
(Mk 9:47). If you have a "jealous bone
in your body," Jesus says to take out
the bone or amputate that part of your
body.
Jealousy is one of the works of the flesh
(Gal 5:20). "I warn you, as I have
warned you before: those who do such
things will not inherit the kingdom of
God!" (Gal 5:21) Repent of jealousy.
Don't compare yourself with others.
Believe in God the Father's love for you
as His child.
Prayer: Father, I offer my body to You as a living sacrifice (Rm
12:1).
Promise: "Would that all the people of the Lord were prophets!
Would that the Lord might bestow His Spirit on them all!" —Nm 11:29
Praise: "He is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord
of lords Who alone has immortality and Who dwells in unapproachable light,
Whom no human being has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and ev-
erlasting rule! Amen" (1 Tm 6:15-16).

Johann Nepomuk Neumann was born March
28, 1811, in Prachatice now the Czech Republic. Johann went to school in Prague
where he studied theology, and became fluent in 6 languages.
In 1836 Neumann traveled to the United States where he was ordained a priest. On February 5, 1852, he was appointed Bishop of Philadelphia. Philadelphia had a large and
expanding Catholic immigrant population; from Eastern Europe speaking little English. Anti-Catholic riots took place in the 1830s
and 1844, due to anti-immigrant and anti-Catholic prejudices. However, during
Neumann’s administration, new parish churches were completed at the rate of
nearly one per month. Neumann became the first bishop in the country to organize a diocesan school system. Under his administration, the
number of parochial schools in his diocese increased from one to 200. Neumann's
fluency in several languages endeared him to the many new immigrant communities in
Philadelphia. Neumann actively encouraged the diocese to provide necessary social
services. The large diocese was not wealthy, and
Neumann became known for his personal frugality. He kept and wore only one pair of
boots throughout his residence in the United States.
While doing errands on January 5, 1860, Neumann collapsed and died on a
Philadelphia street. He was 48 years old. Neumann was declared venerable by Pope Benedict XV in 1921. He was beatified by Pope Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council on October 13, 1963,[9] and was
canonized on June 19, 1977.

THE VISION OF POPE LEO XIII Did you know?? Exactly 33 years to the day prior to the miracle of the sun in Fatima, on October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a vision.
According to the most widely accepted version of what happened, On October 13, 1884, after Pope Leo XIII had finished
celebrating Mass in the Vatican Chapel, attended by a few Cardinals and members of the Vatican staff, he suddenly stopped
at the foot of the altar. He stood there for about 10 minutes, as if in a trance, his face ashen white. Then, going immediately
from the Chapel to his office, he composed the prayer to St. Michael, with instructions it be said
after all Low Masses everywhere. When asked what had happened, he explained that, as he was about to leave the foot of the
altar, he suddenly heard voices - two voices, one kind and gentle, the other guttural and harsh. They seemed to come from
near the tabernacle. As he listened, he heard the following conversation:
The guttural voice, the voice of Satan in his pride, boasting to Our Lord: "I can destroy your Church"
The gentle voice of Our Lord: "You can? Then go ahead and do so."
Satan: "To do so, I need more time and more power."
Our Lord: "How much time? How much power?
Satan: "75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service."
Our Lord: "You have the time, you will have the power. Do with them what you will." Google for more details on this 100 years of evil….
The prayer to St Michael will be published next week…. Stay tuned!

Evangelization Ministry
We go door to door weekly in bi-lingual teams letting people know that we are here,
and would love them to stop in for mass. Many are not aware that there is a
Catholic Church near by, so this has been very key in bringing in new parishioners.
We are looking for more members to join us in this Ministry.
