Beloved of St. Monica Catholic Community,
Congratulations to Joe & Carmen Grasso on the baptism of their great granddaughter last Sunday. God shines on our little community.
Last week we listened to Jesus teaching us to pray. I found a prayer I wrote to God from 2011 before I went to Loyola for graduate studies in pastoral clinical studies. It was the feast of St. Monica and I was in the Cathedral of St. Augustine where I was ordained in 1990. Little did I
know that I would be the pastor of St. Monica seven years later.
O Beloved My source of light and Breathe! I sit here before you Before the Eucharist Where I will feast on you. O joy to be alive Even in the darkness of my soul O how I long To be embraced by You Challenged by You Simply walk and talk with You. Help me, Jesus
survive this journey into darkness frightened but secure in faith
Thanks for healing my Dad Give him more wisdom and love I love you You know this I celebrate just being I am like the bird who struggles to fly And yet I know one day… I will soar with You. within You and on a solitary journey until united forever Beloved of You!
Love, joy, peace ~ Ron Moses +

“Music serves and prepares the table
but it’s not the feast. It clears the room of the heart and mind that
comes in so busy but doesn’t fill it
with its own busyness. Sacred music is a beauty that prepares us to be
able to receive the fullness of grace in the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar.
It does not replace it as worship. It does not become an end in itself and
as Beauty is not self-indulgent but points to the Ethereal.
Sacred music is that beauty that prepares us to pray, that opens our
heart to receive the Word within us.”
“Glorious Lives” brings the late Cardinal’s story to life through intimate interviews with the people clos-est to him—his sister, his colleagues, and his broth-er priests.
Cardinal George was a true imitator of Christ. He never let anything come between him and his mis-sion to bring the love of Jesus wherever it was need-ed the most. He was exactly who the Church need-ed during his lifetime, and his contributions still in-spire many today.
Over 400 years ago, St Ignatius of Loyola developed
this prayer method as a means to reflect on the
events of your day and see where God was present in
it. It is still popular today.
Revelation Calls - Inspiration Answers
God calls us through His revealed creation, His sacred word, and His embracing love.
He inspires us to answer the call, to follow Christ, and to love our neighbor. He invites us to the table of Christ, just as we should invite our neighbor to share
in the joy of that table. Who is our neighbor? Ask rightly, the question is
who is not our neighbor? Do you know someone that may be ready to ap-
proach God’s table; That may want to join in the
fullness of our Catholic faith?
Are you that someone?
