18th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME: Spend your life growing rich in the sight of God. That’s what counts. How will you do this? (Luke 12:13-21) Let us pray for Church leaders, that they may work with others to further the reign of God. (Vocation View sponsored by the Serra Club) DID YOU KNOW that our Notify Me service is already being used for important announcements? If you have not registered yet, please do so today. Don't get left out of electronic alerts and reminders sent from the website program. Click on the Church Information link from the home page to register.

Knights Announce First Recipients of "Jesus Loves You" Award - Parishioners Greg and Anita Skocik have been honored as the first recipients of the “Jesus Loves You” award given by St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 10567 in memory of the late Benny C. Bakane. The award was presented during a special Mass on Wednesday, July 25, which would have been Benny’s 82nd birthday. Greg and Anita Skocik have been married for 42 years and have been servants at St. Patrick for many years. They are actively involved in many church activities but are known primarily for their many years of tireless work in helping the homeless and those in need. Council 10567 designed the “Jesus Loves You” award to recognize individuals who, by the example of their spiritual works of mercy and corporal works of mercy, imitate the life of humility and self-sacrifice lived by Brother Knight Benny Bakane. To qualify for consideration for this award a person must (1) Be a practicing Catholic, (2) Contribute to the spiritual life of their parish by actively participating in the liturgy and sacraments of the Church and by their spiritual works of mercy, and (3) Exemplify the Catholic faith by daily living a pro-life Gospel in their corporal works of mercy . THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 125th Supreme Convention will be held in Nashville, TN Aug 7-9, 2007. It will be televised on EWTN, on Salt and Light Television, and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio's the Catholic Channel. For time listings on EWTN, see www.kofc.org and click on the article about the convention.
