Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 ESV) ADVENT WORSHIP - Mid-week Advent services are on Wednesdays - December 5, 12 & 19 at 11:00 am. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - Our students will be performing the Christmas program on Thursday, December 13 at 10:00 am AND Saturday, December 15 at 6:00 pm. Pre-school and Kindergarten should dress in Sunday best. Grades 1 - 4 should wear black or navy pants or dark tights and white shirts. They will be wearing robes. Middle school handbell players should wear red shirts or sweaters with dark bottoms. There will be an afterglow in the gym following the Saturday performance. PTO is asking families bring a dessert to pass. ST. PAUL CHRISTMAS SHOP. The shop will be open in the Dorcas room for students to purchase handmade gifts on Friday, December 7. Adults may shop when the children are finished. It will also be open on Sunday, December 9 before and after worship. Envelopes will be sent home with students on Monday for families to put money in and designate who students are to purchase gifts for. Crafters are welcome to bring in handmade items. The school uses 15% of the profit to help with food and Christmas gifts for people in need in our community. Crafters receive 85% of the profit. Volunteers will be needed to work in the shop during set-up on Thursday afternoon, December 6, and when the children shop on Friday to assist with shopping and wrapping. PTO will meet Monday, December 3 - officers only. SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS - will be posted on TV12 and St. Paul’s Facebook page. Teachers will send a Remind message. You also have the option of getting a text from ABC 12. POINSETTIA, PORCH POT, WREATH & GARLAND SALE - payment due December 14. CHILDCARE DURING CHRISTMAS BREAK - Forms are being sent home TODAY with preschool and kindergarten to indicate whether or not you need childcare during the break. Please return them whether or not you need care during the break which is December 22 - January 6 so that we can staff correctly. Childcare will be closed December 24 & 25 and December 31 and January 1 . 1st QUARTER HONOR ROLL will be published in the next SPIRIT, December 14.

MID-TERM REPORTS will be sent home Friday, December 7.

CHRISTMAS BREAK and WORSHIP SCHEDULE - The last day of school for Christmas break is Friday, December 21. Classes resume on Monday, January 7.You are welcome to join us for our worship services. Christmas Eve - 7:00 pm; Christmas Day - 10:00 am; New Year’s Eve - 5:00 pm followed by a pot-luck.

DECEMBER CHAPEL OFFERINGS support our church food pantry. We collect non-perishable food items, paper products and toiletries for Christmas baskets that are put together for the needy in our community. The classroom that brings in the most items will win a casual/pajama day! Monetary donations are greatly appreciated also.

SCRIP News - Buying SCRIP is a great way to earn funds for Child Care, Washington, D.C. trip and Education Fees. Some families have earned hundreds of dollars just by buy SCRIP for things they normally purchase - gas, food, gifts, etc. SCRIP offers hundreds of cards, many of which are re-loadable and available as e-cards. Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club is now reloadable! You can check it out at shopwithscrip.com or stop in the office and inquire. In order for your credit to go to your account, you will need to get St. Paul’s code number to shop online. The next SCRIP order will b e o n M o n d a y, D e c e m b e r 3 . G o t o shopwithscrip.com to see the choices of cards and their rebates. Email the school office - [email protected] and we will email you the directions to set up your account.

OUR STAFF PRAYS each morning during devotions for four of our students and staff. They a r e a l s o p r a y e d f o r d u r i n g m o r n i n g announcements.

WATCH FOR INFORMATION regarding a L.E.A.P. Camp 5.0 starting at St. Paul on Wednesday, January 16 - March 27, 2019, 3:30-6:30. This is a Learn, Earn and Play Youth Development Program for students in grades Kindergarten through Eight sponsored by the Lomus Brown Foundation, YMCA of Greater Flint and Michigan District Zone 9 Optimist Clubs.
