TOWER OF LONDONThe tower of London was once a prison!Two of Henry wives, Anne Bolen and Catherine Howard, were sent there, so his daughter, the future Queen Elizabeth I.

BIG BENThe name refers the 13 ton bell hung within the tower.On the clock- face, the minute hand is over 4 metres long and the figures are 60 cms. high.

THE LONDON EYEThe EYE is 135 m high and weighs 1600 tonnes. To find the site architects drew a circle around London and worked out the exact centre.

GLOBE THEATREThe original GLOBE THEATRE opened in 1599, burned down in 1613, and was closed by the Puritans in 1642. Today, after 400 years it is open to the public again.
