Volume 13 Issue 4 Filling Our Easter Baskets With Hope April 2017 OUR MISSION STATEMEN OUR MISSION STATEMENT St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Chittenango, New York exists to restore all people to unity with each other and with God in Jesus Christ. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Chittenango, New York The Good News Hello everyone it is that time of year again when Lent is here and Easter is on the way. We had a great Ash Wednesday service. Thank you Father Leon. It is with a heavy heart today that I send this message out, as we have lost another wonderful member of our congregation. Ron will be sorely missed by us all. I will always remember his smile and jokes. He did have a way about him. Our prayers go out to Ethel and the Barber family. It seems that my last message left some people confused as to what I was talking about. If you are a member of St. Paul’s church, you will always be a member of the church, whether you attend services or not. However, if you have not attended church in two years or more, you are still a member even though you are on the inactive list. Any time you come back to church you will be welcomed with open arms. We know that life has a way of getting in the way when you are busy making other plans. There may also be many good reasons for not attending. If you wish to help us in any way, whether it is an hour or so, please give us a call, we always need help in many ways. God be with us all where ever we may be. We have had our second Vestry meeting and I will be posting the minutes on the Board as soon as I receive them from the secretary. Father Leon has joined us for our Vestry meetings and we welcome him and know that he will bring some good and helpful advice as we go along the way. I hope all of you will have a great Easter and we look forward to seeing all of you, if you can. God Bless all of you. The Good News

Hello everyone it is that time of year again when Lent is here and Easter is on the way. John 11:25-26

Are you in need of pastoral care? Not sure of who to call? What is the protocol?

Here are some answers:

In a case of an emergency – call Fr. Leon at 315.369.8205

If you want a Pastoral Visit from a Lay Eucharist Visitor, or just want to share about a family matter, call our

Pastoral Care Chair, Sue Gerling @315.559.3398 (cell) or 315.875.3047 (home) or email her @[email protected]. Please be aware, that though Fr. Leon would love to do home visits with everyone, he is not able to do this. He has time constraints, due to the fact that he is also serving another parish in Fulton. Our Lay Eucharist Visitors would love to come, visit and pray with you. Thank you!
