Cafod Connect 2 Peru Launch: - Tuesday 26 July, 6:00pm ‐ 8:00pm This event at St Bonaventure’s Parish, Egerton Rd, Bristol BS7 8HP, will help inspire, inform and equip you for action, whether you are new or experienced in getting people involved in the work of CAFOD. To hear first-hand about the work your parish can support in Peru, we have Fr Ed O’Connell speaking. Fr Ed has lived and worked in Peru for thirty years; in parishes, with a special needs school and with projects linked to CAFOD, including Warmi Huasi. Come along for a 6pm start with a Peruvian (or British!) dish to share, followed by Fr Ed’s presentation and an update from CAFOD staff member Liz Baldwin on how your parish can be involved in the work. All are welcome and admission is free, but please register for the event in advance with Liz at [email protected] or telephone 07779 804 248.

Chernobyl Children’s Project: Thank you to all who supported the cake sale last month, which raised £200. One of our aims while the children are here is to give them plenty of fresh fruit to boost their immune system as much of the fruit and vegetable they eat in Belarus is still contaminated, so we are asking for donations of fruit to distribute between the host families on the weekends July 30/31 and August 6/7. Thanks for your support. Maggie Kirby 720464
