HAPPY & BLESSED NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES!
A BIG CHRISTMAS THANK YOU!
To all of our Musicians, Instrumentalists and Singers, especially our music coordinators for each Mass: Sally Boyes, Garrett DeMarco, Scott Liberati & Janet Stoddard. Many rehearsals go into preparing for our Christmas Masses and each Mass was uniquely beautiful.
To our Liturgical Ministers and those who helped to coordinate all of our Christmas Masses. Our celebrations are enhanced by your presence.
To all those who helped make each of our Churches look so beautiful for our Christmas celebrations, especially our decorating coordinators: Sally Boyes & Julie Carlson, Mary Ann Gilman, Louise Jones, Jean Landschoot & Stacy Liberati and Stuart & Molly Rainey
To all of our “Angels” who helped provide gifts and food to the needy families of our communities.
To all who sent Christmas cards, gifts and sweets to our staff and Father Van Lieshout. You certainly help brighten our Christmas season.
We hope we have not forgotten anyone and sincerely apologize if we did. We thank you all for your hard work, dedication and generosity! Many people ’s holidays were enhanced by the giving of your time, talent, and/or treasure!
From,
Father Van Lieshout & Our Parish Staff
PLEASE RETURN YOUR SANCTUARY LAMP AND ST. ANTHONY/ST. JOSEPH CANDLE ENVELOPES
If you picked up a Sanctuary Lamp and/or a St. Anthony/St Joseph envelope, please submit it with the requested offering as soon as possible. When you pick up an envelope and don’t return it, we assume that week is spoken for and consequently unavailable to anyone else who might want to reserve it. This prevents others who would like to sponsor a candle or lamp from being able to do so. Sanctuary Lamp envelopes are still available in the back of St. Felix & St. Francis Churches.

DECEMBER: MONTH OF DIVINE INFANCY Many Roman Catholics traditionally observe the month of
December as Divine Infancy Month in honor of the Child Jesus, “the center of all preparations and celebrations during the Advent and Christmas Seasons.” The events surrounding Jesus’ birth are found only in Matthew‘s and Luke’s accounts
of the Gospel. In John’s account, which was written later than the others were, there is a very different presentation of Jesus
coming into the world, as “the Word became flesh” (John 1:14). The other accounts of the Gospel stress the humanity
of Jesus, while John’s prologue stresses the divinity. The essence of the John’s prologue is that it is important to
proclaim that God took on human flesh. God became incarnate in Jesus. So we celebrate both the divinity
and humanity of Jesus Christ.
