FRESHMEN PATHWAYSSTUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES (SSS) PROGRAM GUARANTEED ADMISSIONS PATHWAY PROGRAM (GAPP)
Overview of ProgramOffers academic and personal support to increase retention and graduation rates of participants at the St. Petersburg campuses
of USF
Provides direct Freshman admission to students at select public high schools who meet minimum GPA and SAT/ACT
score requirements
Students Who Can QualifyFirst-generation college students and/or have a low-income
family statusStudents at qualifying local public schools in the Tampa
Bay region
RequirementsGeneral admission to USF as a freshman student for Summer
semester entry
GPA: 3.7 and SAT: 1100 or ACT: 22
Lower GPAs can be considered with higher test scores, or lower test scores can be considered with higher GPAs.
PerksProvides numerous services: individualized academic advising, counseling, coaching, financial aid assistance, and social and
cultural enrichment programs
Offers priority consideration for an academic award of up to $2,000 through the History of Achievement Scholarship

Overview of ProgramOffers a seamless pathway from local
community or state colleges to any USF campus
Offers a seamless pathway from St. Petersburg College (SPC) to the
St. Petersburg campus of USF
Offers the opportunity to transfer to the St. Petersburg campus the Spring following
your high school graduation after one semester at another college or university
Students Who Can QualifyStudents enrolled at local community
or state colleges
Students enrolled at St. Petersburg College with the intention of transferring to USF to
complete their bachelor’s degree
Students living outside Pinellas County who successfully complete 12 credit hours at
another college or university the summer or fall after graduating from high school
Requirements
Requires students to earn an Associate of Arts degree (or articulated Associate of Science degree) before finishing with
a bachelor’s at USF
Requires PATHe students enrolled at SPC participate in workshops and meet with their counselor on a regular basis throughout their educational journey
Requires a minimum of 12 transferrable post-secondary credits at an accredited
college/university and earn a minimum of a 2.5 overall overall transferrable post-
secondary GPA*
