TOURNAMENTClub Singles Championship finals on Nov. 4 or 11.
Teis ScheduleNovember is finally here. After all the heat, rain and hur-ricanes this Summer, I for one am looking forward to some cool Fall weather. The finals of the Club Singles Championships will take place this month. The finals for the Men’s A & B finals will take place on or around Saturday, November 11.The Satellite and South Pinellas Ladies leagues are well under way. Call ahead for Tuesday court times, as this morning is very busy. With daylight saving time going off, it’s a good idea to make a reservation for a lit court.Hopefully by now our front bank of courts will be already regraded and refurbished. If not we will be down to 7 courts and only 2 lighted courts at night still. If you haven’t no-ticed, we now have new benches and court caddies and scorekeepers for the front eight courts. Our ladies 3.0 USTA Team captained by Sherrl Fry had a great season, winning the local division. The qualified for the state championship at the new USTA National Ten-nis Center in Orlando. Although they finished 4th in there group, they gained a lot of valuable playing experience and a great time was had by all!The Ladies Satellite team that plays on Tuesday morning is having a good season. They are currently 7th out of 14 teams. Keep up the great play! The Men’s Ladder is lead by 1) Brant Bailey, 2) Jorge Alva-rez, 3) Julio Warren and 4) Fred Guerrier. I have been emailing tennis players about court conditions and tennis events. If you would like to receive these blasts, write me at [email protected] or call the shop at 867-9105 with your email address.Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Sam
