She helps out with Vacation Bible School music and has participated in the adult choir. She has decided to step back from her love of playing guitar and pianoand singing to spend more time with her family. You will still see her now and then helping out at some of the Masses. Christian in the World’s Fall 2015 Lecture Series, “The Call to Discipleship and Evangelization” offers its third of four presentations on Saturday, November 14th, at 9:00am in the Mt. Angel Abbey Library. The cost is $15; Students $5. Fr. Basil Lawrence, O.S.B., the newest member of the Christian in the World Steering Committee, made his profession on September 8, 2008, and was ordained in 2013. Consider Holiday Donations to St. Francis Dining Hall At the St. Francis Dining Hall, 1131 SE Oak St., Portland, more than 5,000 meals are served to people who are homeless due to unaffordable housing, including those with mental health issues. When the holidays arrive, those who come to St. Francis receive a nutritious meal along with a community of people who accept their limitations; young and old, single or in families, all people who enter the doors of St. Francis Dining Hall are met with loving concern. $10 will feed an individual for a week; $30 will feed a family for a week; $120 will feed a family for a month.
