will be visiting St Rose of Lima & Our
Lady of Guadalupe on February 7th,
2018. Fr. Robert will try to take him to
see the San Jose Mission and St.
Martin Mission in Pima. More
information to come .
The next Parish Counsel meeting will be January
17th, 2018 to finalize the plans for the Bishop visit.
On February 7, 2018.
Thank you from Fr. Robert
I hope this message finds you well and I pray that you
will have a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year. As
we begin a new year, I pray we persevere in the work
God is asking of us in Graham County. In June I will
have been in Graham County for (5) five years. Time
passes fast when you are having fun!
We all have so much to be grateful for and even in
hard times, we have shown strength in the face of loss and
deception. Our Lord has given us the chance to find love
despite hate, joy despite sadness, and forgiveness.
We still have so much to do. I realize many are asking
about a new Priest. I have mentioned, many times before,
that other denominations (other churches) demand 10% of
member’s income. The Catechism of the Catholic Church
says “the faithful are obliged to assist with the material
needs of the Church, each according to his own
ability.” (CCC2043). I, too, participate in this obligation.
We must be able to provide for a new Priest and at the
same time we must be able to pay our daily bills. Our
goal per week is between $5,000.00-$5,500.00. All I ask
is $5.00 in the basket instead of $1.00. And, if you aren't
a regular contributor, prayerfully consider becoming one.
I highly encourage that you give.
More and more people are asking for help through Our
Lady of Guadalupe, Saint Rose of Lima and Saint
Vincent de Paul. It takes our time, talents, and treasure to
provide for all the needs of the people.
1. This includes those who have chosen to enter I
into the formation program as a priest, deacon or
Religious order.
2. To further the formation of our Teacher and
Aides.
3. To provide for the needs of people in the
community. Electrical, Gas, Water, Rent, etc.
4. Upkeep of the eleven (11) properties, grounds
and buildings through-out Graham County.
We can easily just think of our self, but our Lord has
asked us to care for all. I hope and pray we open our
hearts and minds to what our Lord is calling all of us to
accomplish here in Graham County.
Always in my prayers,
Rev. Robert A. Rodriguez
