World Marriage Day
Today we celebrate World Marriage Day! Please pray for the married couples and those in marriage preparation from our parish. God bless all men and women who said YES to the vocation of marriage!
0 Jesus, lover of the young, the dearest Friend I have, in all confidence I open my heart to You to beg Your light and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Give me the light of Your grace, that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through life. Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your divine wisdom You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage. May her/his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart. May s/he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth. 0 Mary Immaculate, sweet Mother of the young, to your special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to my future wife/husband. You are my guiding Star! Direct me to the person with whom I can best cooperate in doing God's Holy Will, with whom I can live in peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joys in the next. AMEN.

I have extended an invitation to Rev. Richard Bayuk CPPS to come to our parish on the weekend of February 18- 19, 2017. Father Bayuk will be with us to celebrate Masses and tell us about the work of Unbound (previously known as CFCA). He will speak to you about how this ministry provides a trustworthy way to actively participate in the social outreach of the Catholic Church and answer the Gospel call to serve the poor. Founded by lay Catholics, Unbound is an organization that has served more than 600,000 children, youth and elderly in 20 developing countries since 1981 - empowering them to make more choices in their lives, live with dignity and reach their potential. To learn more, call 800-875-6564 or visit Unbound online at www.unbound.org. Unbound's unique sponsorship program is highly personalized. It matches a child, youth or aging person at a project overseas with a sponsor in the U.S. who cares about and encourages that person. With a monthly contribution, a sponsor helps to provide much-needed nourishing food, medical and dental care, the chance for a child to go to school, livelihood programs for families and much more. All of these efforts are directed at affirming the dignity of every person in their local community. Please join me in welcoming Father Bayuk to our parish. Sincerely yours in Jesus Christ,
Rev. George Zieba C.R. Pastor
