Help Us Close The Offertory Gap

We realize that this has been a challenging time for everyone. The COVID-19 Pandemic has had an impact on our entire parish family – perhaps you lost a job, a family member or your peace of mind. Please know that Fr. George has been remembering all of you in his daily Masses and prayers. Currently, funds contributed to our weekly Offertory are almost $43,000 below projections for our current Fiscal Year, which ends on June 30. We are grateful for all that our parishioners have done for our parish community throughout this difficult time. If you are able, please consider making an additional gift to help us close the gap. The easiest way to make your gift is through our Online Giving Program. You will find the link on our parish homepage at www.stpiuslombard.org. Either Login into your account or choose the Quick Give link, allowing you to make a one time contribution without creating an account. You may also make your additional contribution in your weekly envelope by dropping it off at the Parish Office or mailing it to St. Pius X Catholic Community, 1025 E. Madison St., Lombard, IL 60148 before June 30th.

Thank you for your continued support for our parish community!

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Join us for RCIA!

RCIA is designed for those who are considering joining the Catholic Church through celebrating the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist). The process welcomes adults who have never been baptized and those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition. RCIA is also a great opportunity for returning Catholics to learn the foundations of our faith and for practicing Catholics that want to have a deeper understanding of our traditions. Happy Fathers’ Day from St. Pius X CCW Thank you to everyone that helped in any way.

The extent of the donations constantly arriving was really inspiring. There was always a consistent influx of food and supplies for those we were distributing the goods to over the past 3 months and now into the future. The caring and thoughtfulness of our Parish family and the local community has helped many during this unique period in our lives.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020

A Prayer for our Priests this Father's Day

You came from among us to be, for us, one who serves. We thank you for ministering Christ to us and helping us minister Christ to each other.

We are grateful for the many gifts you bring to our community: for drawing us together in worship, for visiting us in our homes,

for comforting us in sickness, for showing us compassion, for blessing our marriage, for baptizing our children,

for confirming us in our calling, for supporting us in bereavement, for helping us to grow in faith, for encouraging us to take the initiative, for helping the whole community realize God's presence among us.

For our part, we pray that we may always be attentive to your needs and never take you for granted. You, like us, need friendship and love, welcome and a sense of belonging, kind words and acts of thoughtfulness.

We pray, also, for the priests who have wounded priesthood.  May we be willing to forgive and may they be open to healing.

Let us support one another during times of crisis. God our Father,

we ask you to bless our priests and confirm them in their calling. Give them the gifts they need to respond with generosity and a joyful heart.

We offer this prayer for our priest, Who is our brother and friend,

Amen.

Communication is more than just talking and listening – it’s also about sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions and body language.
