SCRIPS cards at the door, donate them

for chips and receive SCRIPS credit as

Catholic Corner Answer

The Church is a "communion of saints": this expression refers first to the "holy things" (sancta), above all the Eucharist, by which "the unity of believers, who form one body in Christ, is both represented and brought about" (LG 3).

961 The term "communion of saints" refers also to the communion of "holy persons" (sancti) in Christ who "died for all," so that what each one does or suffers in and for Christ bears fruit for all.

962 "We believe in the communion of all the faithful of Christ, those who are pilgrims on earth, the dead who are being purified, and the blessed in heaven, all together forming one Church; and we believe that in this communion, the merciful love of God and his saints is always [attentive] to our prayers"

Girl Scouts!!

Girl scouts has recently been

approved as an active and registered

ministry on campus. A representative from

Girl Scouts of North East Texas is expected

to speak briefly about scouting at SPX at

our November 13th PTO meeting. There

are currently four troops at SPX covering

1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 8th grade. The Daisy Troop

(1st grade) has space for additional first

graders. The possibility of an April/May

2013 camp out at Camp Whispering

Cedars (Dallas) is being discussed

covering multiple SPX troops. If you are

interested, please contact SPX’s girl scout

liaison Dolores Wolfe at

[email protected]. Please don’t

forget to support your girl scouts during

cookie season in January 2013!
