Please join us the weekend of September 14th, 2013 to hear Rev.

Russell A. Ortega, O.S.A. speak at all the services about a ministry

providing direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the

Caribbean.

Father Ortega will share what he has witnessed about Food For The

Poor’s mission to care for the destitute as a means of living out the

Gospel mandate to love one another.

Father Ortega was ordained in 1986 to The Augustinians. He served

in the Augustinian Missions in Peru for two and half years. Upon

returning to the U.S. he worked for 8 years in Hospice with people

with AIDS & Cancer. Before joining Food For The Poor he served

in parishes in Massachusetts and the Bronx, NY.

Please come and welcome Father Ortega.

Seminarian Education Collection

Many dioceses right here in the United States do not have

enough priests and trained lay ministers to serve their parishes.

These dioceses are known as home missions. The Catholic

Home Missions Appeal supports these dioceses by funding es-

sential ministries, including seminary education and lay minis-

try training. Please be generous in this Appeal and help
