Pastor’s Notes
I would like to thank everyone who participated in our Holy Week liturgies as well as our Music Ministry and Liturgical Design (decoration of church) volunteers. All of you helped to provide a beautiful and meaningful experience for all of us during Holy Week. May the Peace of the Risen Christ shine onto you and your loved ones this Easter!
Divine Mercy Sunday
Next Sunday, April 8th, we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. There will be a Divine Mercy Holy Hour at 2:30 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church.
Through the Storm: Helping our Brothers & Sisters in the
Caribbean
“He said to them, ‘Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?’ Then he got up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was great calm.”
Matthew 8:26
Through the Storm: Helping our Brothers & Sisters in the Caribbean is an initiative organized by Bishop Peter Libasci to support victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Through the Storm will take place on Thursday, April 5th and will be focused on showing NH’s solidarity with parts of the Caribbean that are still suffering from the effects of the hurricanes and still need to rebuild and restore churches, homes, schools, and hospitals. April 5th will be a statewide day of prayer and parishes, communities, and individuals are all invited to participate in the day of prayer by joining the Diocese of Manchester in prayer at any time.
77 CLAY STREET, LITTLETON, NH 03561
Let Us Remember Our Sick in Prayer
Pray that they may find comfort and healing in Christ, especially: Don Pelletier, Alma Patricia Guardado, Bailey Culver, Tina Weeks, Christina Bogat (Names will
be listed for eight weeks. No name will be placed on the list without that individual’s permission.)
• There will be no Religious Ed classes on Easter Sunday, April 1st. Classes
will resume the following Sunday, April 8th during which time we will also have an obstructed fire drill.
• Many thanks to Kindergarten co-catechist Linda Brown for her melodious and uplifting ‘Community Prayer’ last Sunday. Carissa Stewart, our grade 6 co-catechist will be leading us this Sunday. On Sunday, April 15th, our last day of Religious Ed classes for the year, grade 1 catechist, Molly Culver and her assistant, Nicole McGrath along with their students who just learned this prayer will be leading everyone in the Lord’s Prayer. Deacon Steve will conclude our school year with a prayer. We will also be distributing Certificates of Perfect Attendance to those students who have faithfully attended every class this year. As usual, coffee, doughnuts, and Munchkins for the students will be available in the high school cafeteria before 8:50 a.m. when we begin ‘Community Prayer.’
Encounter the Risen Christ
We prayed, fasted, and gave alms―and now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl ends as we encounter our Risen Lord. We reflect on our brothers and sisters we have walked with, and we commit to bringing Easter joy to each person we meet in our daily lives. Don’t forget to turn in your cardboard rice bowl if you used it during Lent. Many thanks to those who participated in Operation Rice Bowl!
Our parish has nine youths who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, May 3rd. As our youth are an integral part of our parish community, we would like them to experience the support of their parish family during this important step in their faith journeys. We are looking for nine individuals, couples, or families who would be willing to spiritually adopt one of the students to pray for them during the last month of their preparation and to show support by attending their Confirmation Mass. If you feel you could support one of our youths in this way, please contact Elaine Andrews at 919-6 0 1 - 1 9 4 4 o r b y e m a i l a t [email protected].
