Today’s Meditation Faith and hope are closely united in today’s readings. The Israelites knew when the Passover was coming, and so were not in fear, but had faith and courage, “putting into effect with one accord the divine institution.” In this we can see a foretelling of the Eucharist that we celebrate

according to Christ’s command, “Do this in memory of me.” We see that Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, and Jacob died in faith, although they did not see fulfillment of the promise. We live in hope that our faith will be fulfilled every time we celebrate this sacrament. We too are not to be afraid, but to have hope that our faith will be fulfilled in the coming of Christ. prayerfully offered by his wife, Fran Gurgul

A time to mourn:

St. Stanislaus Parish extends our deepest sympathy to Jim and Ellen Graskoski as they mourn the loss of their son, David who was called to the Lord on July 26, 2019. He will be sadly missed also by his sister, Sarah and his daughter, Angelina.. May the Lord comfort his family at this difficult time.

Evangelization News!

These excerpts each week come from the book Pillar of Fire Pillar of Truth

The Church Is Catholic (Matt. 28:19-20, Rev. 5:9-10, CCC 830-856)

Jesus’ Church is called catholic (“universal” in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19-20). For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28). Nowadays the Catholic Church is found in every country in the world and is still sending out missionaries to “make disciples of all nations.” For more information about our Evangelization Ministry please contact: Joyce Lemon at: 910-262-2131

Faith Formation 2019-2020

It’s that time of year again! Registration letters and forms for our 2019-2020 Faith Formation program have been mailed to families registered in the program last year. Religious education is available to children from Pre-K thru 9th grade. Please return your completed form upon receipt along with your payment written to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Teaching materials will need to be ordered so please return the form ASAP. Classes will be held after Mass on Sundays, 10:15 AM – Noon, starting September 8th. If you are a new or current parishioner and have children you’d like to enroll for the first time, please go to our website: www.ststanislauscatholic.org to fill out a registration form online. Click on the Education tab. Then click on Faith Formation. Print the registration form and fill out ALL information. Submit the completed form to St. Stanislaus (along with payment). The fee for the class is $45. Please write Faith Formation on the envelope and drop in the collection basket during Mass. If you have not yet registered as a parishioner, you may do so on the website as well. We ask that all families registering children for our Faith Formation program be registered parishioners of St. Stanislaus. For all new students we will need a copy, front and back, of your child's Baptismal Certificate. Please include that along with the registration form and payment. For more information please contact:
