REMINDER
With March Break behind
us, we are now about two-
thirds of the way through
this school year. It has been
a wonderful year and the
next few months promise to
be just as exciting.
We have a number of initia-
tives taking place in our
school during the next few
months; Drama Productions,
Lego Robotics, and a variety
of Clubs and Organized Ac-
tivities are examples of
things happening for our
students. We are pleased to
be able to offer so many ac-
tivities in addition to compe-
tently delivering the curricu-
lum each day.
We encourage all of you to
attend Parent-Teacher Con-
ferences on April 04 & 05.
Communication with your
child’s teacher is a vital part
of their educational experi-
ence and Parent-Teacher
Conferences provide another
opportunity for you to be in-
volved in your child’s educa-
tion.
Please keep the lines of com-
munication open and feel free
to discuss any questions or
concerns with your child’s
teacher.
Thank you for your continued
support as we work hard to
provide a quality education
and supporting experiences for
your child.

Principal
Courtney Parsons,
Vice Principal
Please remember that school
opens at 8:00 a.m. For your convenience
and the safety of students, there is teach-
er supervision available at 7:45am for
students that must be dropped off prior
to our regular opening at 8:00am.
All students need to arrive at
school by 8:25 to avoid being late.
Thank you for getting
your child to school on time
each day.

With spring on the horizon, it is hard to keep
children focused on learning. What can you
do to make school a top priority for your kids?
Keep these simple ideas in mind-they’re use-
ful at any time of the year.
Make attendance “Job #1”. Let your kids
know that unless they’re sick, they must go to
school. Try to schedule routine dentist and
doctor appointments after school hours.
When possible, take family vacations during
school breaks.
Show you care. Want your children to
know that you’re interested in their learning?
Talk about their school activities and pro-
jects. Attend as many school events as you
can. If homework and after school activities
conflict, make the necessary arrangements
that allow homework to be completed as well.
Keep it upbeat. Try to set a positive exam-
ple for your children, even when your own day
has been difficult. Instead of saying, “I had a
hard day at work. I’ll never get my project
done,” try, “Work was hard today, but I made
some progress on my project”. If you show a
positive attitude about your work, your
youngsters may feel better about their own.
