Fr. Freddy invites you to A Holy Land Experience!

Treat yourself or a loved one to an adventure of a lifetime–a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with a Catholic Bible scholar, historian, and New York Times best-selling author as your guide. Directed by Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio (known as “Dr. Italy” on Catholic radio and TV), the trip departs on April 29, 2019, and returns on May 9, 2019. This trip, with wonderful times of prayer, liturgy & music daily under the spiritual direction of Fr. Freddy Perez, promises to be a fascinating journey into a deeper life in Christ and richer understanding of the Bible. For more information online, visit www.goholyland.info or call Cyndi from the Crossroads Initiative at

214-882-7262. Act now--the remaining places are going fast!--

This week in RCIA, we are honored to have Father Freddie teach us about the Sacraments of Holy Orders and Anointing the Sick. We see the origin of the Sacraments in the words of Jesus and in the life of the early church. What a blessing the Sacraments are to us! "RCIA" stands for

the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It's the process by which adults come into full communion with the Catholic Church. It's free, childcare is provided, we have a lot of fun and we always have something good to eat! If you have questions, feel free to email me at [email protected].

13 de enero 2019 ¡¡¡Bautismo Señor!!!

No hace falta sentir nada especial.

Hermana Gertrudis Muñoz Mendieta I.C.A.S.

Melissa is a woman in her early thirties. She called our helpline needing assistance with her mortgage. She was three months behind and facing foreclosure. When we met with her we found that Melissa is working a full time job, plus raising her four children and her sister’s two children. The sister has breast cancer and is in Johns Hopkins Hospital undergoing radiation treatment. Melissa had been receiving child support and until now had no trouble keeping up with her payments and raising the children, but three months ago the child support payments stopped. Her income alone was not enough to pay mortgage, utilities, childcare and food for the family. The addition of the two extra children only compounded the problem. Melissa was able to make one of the mortgage payments, but the mortgage company gave her only a few days to bring her account current or she would lose her home. We met with her and assured Melissa that her home would be safe. We were able to bring her mortgage current and offered her advice on how to pursue her child support through the Attorney General’s office. We also advised her on how to apply for emergency food stamps and budget her money to stay current on her mortgage. We feel confident that Melissa will heed our advice and make it on her own from this point on. An independent woman, she had never asked for help from agencies before and she is not one to want to become dependent on them. We pray for Melissa and for her sister. May her sister beat the cancer and return to care for her own children, and may they both rise above their difficulties and take charge of their lives. Thank you for your support that allows us to reach families such as these. Thank you very, very much!
