Religious Education Congratulations to our children who made their First Reconciliation on Wednesday, December 4. We shared a delicious meal and had a lovely service. Don’t forget that we will have a parish penance service on Wednes-day, December 11 at 7:00 PM. The Giving Tree is up in the church. I encourage every-one who is able to take a tag to help provide for those less fortunate that us. There are also plenty of oppor-tunities to help with your time. We will be sorting the packages and food on Sunday, December 22 starting after the 8:00 AM Mass. Please consider helping sort or delivering the packages starting about noon. Please let Theresa or Stephanie know if you can help with this. Our RE program will take a break over the Christmas holiday. We will not have classes on Sunday, Decem-ber 22 or Sunday, December 29. Classes will resume on January 5. We will begin reviewing for the ACRE test on that Sunday.
Godspeed, Theresa

Thursday, December 12th @ 6:00PM Parish Hall All are welcome!
From the Messy Desk of Fr. Rob
Dear Parishioners:
The second candle we light this weekend symbolizes the gift of Faith. We put into action the longing for the promises of God. We celebrate the Mystery of the In-carnation and the promise that Jesus will come again. We find ourselves preparing for this coming by living our faith. As St. John the Baptist reminds us, “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.” What better way to prepare the way of the Lord and make straight his paths, then to seek His mercy in the Sacra-ment of Reconciliation. Like the Season of Lent, we perform acts of charity and penance. We, as a parish, have the opportunity to continue our preparation as we celebrate the Sacra-ment of Reconciliation on Wednesday, December 11, at 7pm. There will be two other priests here to hear confessions. The celebration of this sacrament is a tre-mendous way to prepare ourselves for the celebration of Christmas. On Monday, December 9, at 6:30pm, we will be cele-brating the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which is not a holy day of obligation this year. Let us continue our preparations for Christmas for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Have a blessed week! Fr. Rob
Children’s Christmas Choir For all children grades K-12 who would like to sing in the Children’s Choir for the 5:00 PM Mass on Christmas Eve.

When taking ornaments, please remember that it has two parts. Please fill in your name and phone number on the one part and leave it in the basket provided next to the tree. The other part (with items to be purchased) is to be attached to the outside of the wrapped gift.
All gifts need to be in by 9:00 am on Sunday, Dec. 22nd We are also collecting donations of non-perishable food items for the Giving Tree Families.
