In today’s Gospel Jesus talks about life with his Father and the Spirit. He tells his disciples that what belongs to the Father belongs to him, and that the Spirit will take from what is his and give it to them. Jesus helps us understand that the relationship between Father, Son and Spirit is one of perfect sharing and loving generosity. This shared life is the foundation for what we now understand as part of living life in the Trinity. The abundant generosity of those who are good stewards of the gifts entrusted to them gives us a glimpse into the love of the Triune God. Does the generosity with which we live our lives bear witness to God’s extraordinarily generous life within us?
St. Vincent de Paul Endowment Fund
St. Vincent de Paul has recently established an endowment fund to assist in providing for the long term needs of our parish. Unlike most gifts which may be spent for immediate needs, an endowment fund is permanent. When you make a gift to the endowment, the gift is invested and only a portion of the earnings may be used annually. Since only a portion of the earnings may be spent in a given year, the endowment fund has the potential to continue to grow over time. By contributing to the St. Vincent de Paul Endowment Fund, your legacy or a gift made on behalf of another will have the capacity to bear everlasting fruit. Please call the Parish Office if you have any questions.

Parish Update
PARISH PROJECTS
Why was the footprint developed? In order to purchase additional land, the Diocese requires that all parish-es determine their long term needs, so proper placement of buildings can take place. Currently, very high lev-el square footage requirements have been developed based on the anticipated needs. This was needed to deter-mine approximate building size(s). The detailed architectural drawings will not occur for the parish hall and administrative building, outreach services, and Our Mother’s Attic resale shop until we are ready to proceed. This is an artistic rendition of the campus layout and is subject to change based on engineering, permitting and geological testing.
What are the current square feet of the existing buildings and the anticipated square feet of the new buildings? Current Anticipated (Please note the numbers presented below are estimates.) Church 24,000 square feet 36,000 square feet Maintenance None 2,400 square feet Social Hall & Admin. (Family Life Center) 15,000 square feet 26,000 square feet Outreach/Food Pantry (rental) 1,500 square feet 4,600 square feet (Onsite) Our Mother’s Attic (rental) 3,200 square feet 5,000 square feet (Onsite)
What will happen with the current social hall/administrative area? The current structure is deemed to be end of life. The new Family Life Center will be in the same location. When construction takes place of the new center, the church offices will operate in modulars until the desired new building is constructed. Parts of the existing building will be integrated into the new building to represent our spiritual roots and celebrate all of His works through us as His instruments. We will continue to build up the Body of Christ in this new struc-ture, but more importantly, use our spiritual gifts and celebrate the gift of community.
How will the project(s) be funded? Phase One is funded by the generosity of the parishioners in the past and the continued support in the near future. In order for subsequent phases to take place, fund raising and a loan will most likely be needed to expedite the project. In the meantime, monies donated to the building fund are for this purpose. Additionally, monies from general savings are also used. These are excess funds from church operations from the offertory.
When is phase One construction going to take place? Over the next 12 – 18 months depending upon the engineering, permitting construction and the various approval processes.
When will subsequent phases occur? The timing of the additional phases will be dependent upon several factors:
* Availability of Funds * Permitting and Necessary Approvals (Local Governments and Diocesan)
We are hoping to start the capital campaign in 2017. Our desire is to start construction on Phase II in 2018/2019. This will be dependent upon the operations at that time, the success of the capital campaign and necessary approvals. The sooner the funds are raised, the sooner the proposed project(s) can start.
What are the projected costs of each of the phases? We do not know the exact costs of the projects until all of the details are gathered. The initial broad based es-timates for each of the projects are:
Land, Rectory, Maintenance & Parking $3.0 million Family Life Center & Parking $6.0 Church Expansion $1.1 Outreach / Food Pantry / Our Mother’s Attic & Parking $2.4 Total $12.5 million (Continued on next page…)

Our Mother of Mercy Outreach Services
We have much to be thankful for today on this feast of the Holy Trinity. Prayers to the Father are being answered. With the example of Jesus, who fed the multitude, we will be able to feed many in the Wildwood area. With the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, many have stepped forward to donate to the pantry and the local soup kitchen.
With summer approaching, one in five children will be hungry, when they don’t receive a school lunch. Thank God that it may not happen in our area. With your continuous donations and the donations of the following, children as well as seniors, who don’t have the disposable income as many of us have, they will be able to receive food from the pantry.
Thank you to the following: Aberdeen South Social; Buttonwood 161 Village; Democratic Club of Villages; Enisgrove and Mayflower AED Neighborhood; Greenville Way, Liberty Park; Irish Club; Ladies of Pinellas; Mt. Pleasant Villas; Newport Villas; and Rio Grande Villas.
Jerry Saltness collected $6,272 and food, from a food drive he co-ordinated - Villages Div. 4 Recreation League Softball League.
Our clients as well as volunteers are truly grateful for donations to the pantry. We only have to think of our parish patron saint, St. Vincent de Paul to continue.
The Food Pantry is in need of volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Tracy Blust at (352) 330-0028.
Food Pantry Requests include the following: canned meats, pasta, side dishes, canned pasta w/meats, spa-ghetti sauce, pork & beans, pinto beans, canned fruit, canned tuna, canned vegetables, potatoes (canned or boxed), cereal, soup, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, mac & cheese, corn muffin mix, cake mix, pancake mix, crack-ers, cookies, condiments, white rice, coffee and tea. Laundry detergent, soap, hygiene and paper products are also appreciated. Please remember that out-of-date and opened food cannot be distributed.
Backpacks 4 Kids If you are interested in volunteering to tend a collection site for Backpacks for Kids, approximately a 2 1/2 hour session, please call Sheila Duffy 352-430-3761.
You must be willing to get fingerprinted, through our church process. Fingerprinting can be done right here in The Villages.

Parish Update
PARISH PROJECTS (Continued….)
Can several phases be combined? They could take place, but this will be dependent upon availability of funds and approvals. At this time, we are anticipating grouping the Church Expansion with the Family Life Center. How will bringing Our Mother’s Attic and Outreach Services on-site impact the services? We will be adding additional space for all of the outreach services, and the current space limits our capacity to serve those in need. We view this as a positive change, as cur-rently many of our own parishioners and surrounding communities do not realize that our outreach services and re-sale shop are part of our parish. A majority of the cli-ents that utilize our services come by car, so changing the location should not impact the services we provide. Addi-tionally, it will lend to better coordination with our parish.
